Miqueias 5

1Agora ajunta-te em tropas, ó filha de tropas; fazem cerco ao nosso redor; ferirão ao juiz de Israel com vara no rosto. 2Porém tu, Belém Efrata, ainda que sejas pequena entre as famílias de Judá, de ti me sairá o que será governador em Israel; e suas saídas são desde o princípio, desde os dias antigos. 3Por isso ele os entregará até o tempo em que a que estiver de parto der à luz; então o resto de seus irmãos voltarão a estar com os filhos de Israel. 4E eles se levantará, e governará com a força do SENHOR, com a grandeza do nome do SENHOR seu Deus; e eles habitarão seguros ,porque agora ele será engrandecido até os confins da terra. 5E este será nossa paz; quando a Assíria vier a nossa terra, e quando pisar nossos palácios, então levantaremos contra ela sete pastores, e oito príncipes dentre os homens; 6E dominarão a terra da Assíria pela espada, e a terra de Ninrode em suas entradas; assim ele nos livrará do assírios, quando vierem contra nossa terra e invadirem nossas fronteiras. 7E o restante de Jacó estará no meio de muitos povos, como o orvalho do SENHOR, como gotas sobre a erva, que não esperam ao homem, nem aguardam os filhos de homens. 8E o restante de Jacó estará entre as nações, no meio de muitos povos, como o leão entre os animais do bosque, como o leão jovem entre os rebanhos de ovelhas, o qual quando passa, atropela e despedaça, de modo que ninguém há que possa livrar. 9Tua mão se erguerá sobre teus adversários, e todos os teus inimigos serão exterminados. 10E será naquele dia,diz o SENHOR, que destruirei teus cavalos do meio de ti, e acabarei com tuas carruagens. 11Também destruirei as cidades da tua terra, e derrubarei todas as tuas fortalezas. 12Também destruirei as feitiçarias de tua mão, e não terás mais adivinhadores. 13Também destruirei as tuas imagens de escultura e tuas colunas de idolatria do meio de ti, e nunca mais te encurvarás diante da obra de tuas mãos; 14Também arrancarei teus bosques do meio de ti, e arruinarei tuas cidades. 15E com ira e com furor farei vingança das nações que não me deram ouvidos.

1Now you shall gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. He has laid siege against us. They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek. 2But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times. 3Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth. Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel. 4He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the name of Yahweh his God: and they will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth. 5He will be our peace when Assyria invades our land, and when he marches through our fortresses, then we will raise against him seven shepherds, and eight leaders of men. 6They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in its gates. He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he invades our land, and when he marches within our border. 7The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples, like dew from Yahweh, like showers on the grass, that don’t wait for man, nor wait for the sons of men. 8The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver. 9Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries, and let all of your enemies be cut off. 10“It will happen in that day”, says Yahweh, “that I will cut off your horses out of your midst, and will destroy your chariots. 11I will cut off the cities of your land, and will tear down all your strongholds. 12I will destroy witchcraft from your hand; and you shall have no soothsayers. 13I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars out of your midst; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands. 14I will uproot your Asherah poles out of your midst; and I will destroy your cities. 15I will execute vengeance in anger, and wrath on the nations that didn’t listen.”

1Nu, rot u met benden, gij dochter der bende, hij zal een belegering tegen ons stellen; zij zullen den rechter Israels met de roede op het kinnebakken slaan. 2En gij, Bethlehem Efratha! zijt gij klein om te wezen onder de duizenden van Juda? Uit u zal Mij voortkomen, Die een Heerser zal zijn in Israel, en Wiens uitgangen zijn van ouds, van de dagen der eeuwigheid. 3Daarom zal Hij henlieden overgeven, tot den tijd toe, dat zij, die baren zal, gebaard hebbe; dan zullen de overigen Zijner broederen zich bekeren met de kinderen Israels. 4En Hij zal staan, en zal weiden in de kracht des HEEREN, in de hoogheid van den Naam des HEEREN, Zijns Gods, en zij zullen wonen, want nu zal Hij groot zijn tot aan de einden der aarde. 5En Deze zal Vrede zijn; wanneer Assur in ons land zal komen, en wanneer hij in onze paleizen zal treden, zo zullen wij tegen hem stellen zeven herders, en acht vorsten uit de mensen. 6Die zullen het land van Assur afweiden met het zwaard, en het land van Nimrod in deszelfs ingangen. Alzo zal Hij ons redden van Assur, wanneer dezelve in ons land zal komen, en wanneer hij in onze landpale zal treden. 7En Jakobs overblijfsel zal zijn in het midden van vele volken, als een dauw van den HEERE, als droppelen op het kruid, dat naar geen man wacht, noch mensenkinderen verbeidt. 8Ja, het overblijfsel van Jakob zal zijn onder de heidenen, in het midden van vele volken, als een leeuw onder de beesten des wouds, als een jonge leeuw onder de schaapskudden; dewelke, wanneer hij doorgaat, zo vertreedt en verscheurt hij, dat niemand redde. 9Uw hand zal verhoogd zijn boven uw wederpartijders, en al uw vijanden zullen uitgeroeid worden. 10En het zal te dien dage geschieden, spreekt de HEERE, dat Ik uw paarden uit het midden van u zal uitroeien, en Ik zal uw wagenen verdoen. 11En Ik zal de steden uws lands uitroeien, en Ik zal al uw vestingen afbreken. 12En Ik zal de toverijen uit uw hand uitroeien, en gij zult geen guichelaars hebben. 13En Ik zal uw gesneden beelden en uw opgerichte beelden uit het midden van u uitroeien, dat gij u niet meer zult nederbuigen voor het werk uwer handen. 14Voorts zal Ik uw bossen uit het midden van u uitroeien, en Ik zal uw steden verdelgen. 15En Ik zal in toorn en in grimmigheid wrake doen aan de heidenen, die niet horen.
