1La fratamo daŭradu. 2Ne forgesu gastamon al nekonatoj; ĉar per tio iuj gastigis anĝelojn, ne sciante. 3Memoru la katenitojn, kvazaŭ vi ankaŭ estus katenitaj, kaj la suferantojn, ĉar vi ankaŭ estas en la korpo. 4Estu honorata la edzeco ĉe ĉiuj, kaj la lito estu senmakula; ĉar malĉastulojn kaj adultulojn Dio juĝos. 5Estu via karaktero sen monamo; estu kontentaj je tio, kion vi havas; ĉar Li mem diris: Mi ne foriros de vi kaj ne forlasos vin. 6Tial ni kuraĝas diri: La Eternulo estas mia helpanto, mi ne timos; Kion faros al mi homo? 7Memoru viajn regintojn, kiuj parolis al vi la vorton de Dio; kaj ilian fidon imitu, pripensante la finon de ilia vivmaniero. 8Jesuo Kristo estas la sama hieraŭ, hodiaŭ, kaj ĝis eterneco. 9Ne forportiĝu per dogmaroj diversaj kaj fremdaj; ĉar estas bone, ke la koro estu plifortigata per graco, ne per manĝaĵoj, per kiuj ne profitis la okupiĝantaj pri ili. 10Ni havas altaron, el kiu la servantoj de la tabernaklo havas nenian rajton manĝi. 11Ĉar la korpoj de tiuj bestoj, kies sango estas en la sanktejon enportata de la ĉefpastro pro peko, estas bruligataj ekster la tendaro. 12Tial Jesuo ankaŭ, por ke li sanktigu la popolon per sia propra sango, ekster la pordego suferis. 13Tial ni eliru al li ekster la tendaro, portante lian riproĉon. 14Ĉar ĉi tie ni ne havas restantan urbon, sed estontan ni serĉas. 15Per li do ni oferu al Dio ĉiam oferon de laŭdo, tio estas, la frukton de niaj lipoj konfesantaj al lia nomo. 16Sed ne forgesu la bonfaradon kaj kunulecon; ĉar tiaj oferoj plaĉas al Dio. 17Obeu al tiuj, kiuj vin regas, kaj submetiĝu; ĉar ili viglas pro viaj animoj, kvazaŭ liveronte raporton; por ke kun ĝojo ili faru tion, kaj ne ĝemante, ĉar ĉi tio estus senprofita por vi. 18Preĝu por ni; ĉar ni fidas, ke ni havas bonan konsciencon, dezirante en ĉio honeste vivi. 19Sed des pli urĝe mi petegas vin fari tion, por ke mi tiom pli frue estu redonata al vi. 20Nun la Dio de paco, kiu relevis el la mortintoj la grandan paŝtiston de la ŝafoj, nian Sinjoron Jesuo, per la sango de la eterna interligo, 21perfektigu vin en ĉia bona laboro, por plenumi Lian volon, farante en vi tion, kio plaĉas al Li, per Jesuo Kristo, al kiu estu la gloro por ĉiam kaj eterne. Amen. 22Kaj mi petegas vin, fratoj, toleru la vorton de konsilo, ĉar mi skribis al vi per malmulte da vortoj. 23Sciu, ke estas liberigita nia frato Timoteo, kun kiu, se li venos baldaŭ, mi vin vidos. 24Salutu ĉiujn, kiuj vin regas, kaj ĉiujn sanktulojn. Tiuj, kiuj estas el Italujo, vin salutas. 25Graco estu kun vi ĉiuj. Amen.

1Let brotherly love continue. 2Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body. 4Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. 5Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.” 6So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?” 7Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith. 8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9Don’t be carried away by various and strange teachings, for it is good that the heart be established by grace, not by food, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited. 10We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat. 11For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp. 12Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate. 13Let us therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach. 14For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come. 15Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. 16But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 17Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you. 18Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things. 19I strongly urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner. 20Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, 21make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. 22But I exhort you, brothers, endure the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words. 23Know that our brother Timothy has been freed, with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you. 24Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. The Italians greet you. 25Grace be with you all. Amen.

1Dat de broederlijke liefde blijve. 2Vergeet de herbergzaamheid niet; want hierdoor hebben sommigen onwetend engelen geherbergd. 3Gedenkt der gevangenen, alsof gij mede gevangen waart; en dergenen, die kwalijk gehandeld worden, alsof gij ook zelven in het lichaam kwalijk gehandeld waart. 4Het huwelijk is eerlijk onder allen, en het bed onbevlekt; maar hoereerders en overspelers zal God oordelen. 5Uw wandel zij zonder geldgierigheid; en zijt vergenoegd met het tegenwoordige; want Hij heeft gezegd: Ik zal u niet begeven, en Ik zal u niet verlaten. 6Zodat wij vrijmoediglijk durven zeggen: De Heere is mij een Helper, en ik zal niet vrezen, wat mij een mens zal doen. 7Gedenkt uwer voorgangeren, die u het Woord Gods gesproken hebben; en volgt hun geloof na, aanschouwende de uitkomst hunner wandeling. 8Jezus Christus is gisteren en heden dezelfde en in der eeuwigheid. 9Wordt niet omgevoerd met verscheidene en vreemde leringen; want het is goed, dat het hart gesterkt wordt door genade, niet door spijzen, door welke geen nuttigheid bekomen hebben, die daarin gewandeld hebben. 10Wij hebben een altaar, van hetwelk geen macht hebben te eten, die den tabernakel dienen. 11Want welker dieren bloed voor de zonde gedragen werd in het heiligdom door den hogepriester, derzelver lichamen werden verbrand buiten de legerplaats. 12Daarom heeft ook Jezus, opdat Hij door Zijn eigen bloed het volk zou heiligen, buiten de poort geleden. 13Zo laat ons dan tot Hem uitgaan buiten de legerplaats, Zijn smaadheid dragende. 14Want wij hebben hier geen blijvende stad, maar wij zoeken de toekomende. 15Laat ons dan door Hem altijd Gode opofferen een offerande des lofs, dat is, de vrucht der lippen, die Zijn Naam belijden. 16En vergeet de weldadigheid en de mededeelzaamheid niet; want aan zodanige offeranden heeft God een welbehagen. 17Zijt uw voorgangeren gehoorzaam, en zijt hun onderdanig; want zij waken voor uw zielen, als die rekenschap geven zullen; opdat zij dat doen mogen met vreugde en niet al zuchtende; want dat is u niet nuttig. 18Bidt voor ons; want wij vertrouwen, dat wij een goed geweten hebben, als die in alles willen eerlijk wandelen. 19En ik bid u te meer, dat gij dit doet, opdat ik te eerder ulieden moge wedergegeven worden. 20De God nu des vredes, Die den grote Herder der schapen, door het bloed des eeuwigen testaments, uit de doden heeft wedergebracht, namelijk onze Heere Jezus Christus, 21Die volmake u in alle goed werk, opdat gij Zijn wil moogt doen; werkende in u, hetgeen voor Hem welbehagelijk is, door Jezus Christus; Denwelken zij de heerlijkheid in alle eeuwigheid. Amen. 22Doch ik bid u, broeders, verdraagt het woord dezer vermaning; want ik heb u in het kort geschreven. 23Weet, dat de broeder Timotheus losgelaten is, met welken (zo hij haast komt) ik u zal zien. 24Groet al uw voorgangeren, en al de heiligen. U groeten die van Italie zijn. 25De genade zij met u allen. Amen.
