2 Tesalonikanoj 2

1Nun ni petegas vin, fratoj, koncerne la alvenon de nia Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo kaj nian alkolektiĝon al li, 2ke vi ne fariĝu facile skueblaj mense, kaj ne konsterniĝu, ĉu per spirito, aŭ per parolo, aŭ per letero ŝajne de ni, kvazaŭ la tago de la Sinjoro jam apudestus; 3neniu vin trompu iamaniere; ĉar nepre antaŭe okazos la apostateco, kaj la homo de peko malkaŝiĝos, la filo de pereo, 4kiu kontraŭmetas sin kaj levas sin super ĉion, kion oni nomas Dio aŭ adoras; tiel, ke li sidas en la templo de Dio, elmontrante sin, kvazaŭ li estas Dio. 5Ĉu vi ne memoras, ke mi diris tion al vi, dum mi estis kun vi? 6Kaj nun vi scias, kio malhelpas, por ke li malkaŝiĝu siatempe. 7Ĉar la mistero de maljusteco jam energias; sed restas ankoraŭ la malhelpanto, ĝis li estos formovita. 8Kaj tiam malkaŝiĝos la maljustulo, kiun la Sinjoro Jesuo detruos per la spiro de sia buŝo kaj neniigos per la apero de sia alveno; 9tiun, kies alveno estas pro la energio de Satano kun ĉia potenco kaj kun signoj kaj mensogaj mirindaĵoj, 10kaj kun ĉia trompo de maljusteco por la pereantoj, pro tio, ke ili ne ricevis la amon al la vero por esti savitaj. 11Kaj pro tio Dio sendas al ili energion de eraro, tiel, ke ili kredos mensogon; 12por ke estu juĝataj ĉiuj, kiuj ne kredis la veron, sed trovis plezuron en maljusteco. 13Sed ni devas ĉiam danki Dion pro vi, fratoj, amataj de la Sinjoro, pro tio, ke Dio vin elektis de la komenco al savo en la sanktigo de la Spirito kaj kredo al la vero; 14al kiu Li vin vokis per nia evangelio, por la akiro de la gloro de nia Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo. 15Tial, fratoj, staru firme, kaj tenu la tradiciojn, kiujn vi lernis ĉu per parolo, aŭ per ia letero nia. 16Nia Sinjoro Jesuo Kristo mem, kaj Dio, nia Patro, kiu nin amis kaj al ni donis eternan konsolon kaj bonan esperon per graco, 17konsolu viajn korojn kaj fortigu ilin por ĉia bona faro kaj vorto.

1Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him, we ask you 2not to be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ had come. 3Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the departure comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction, 4he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God. 5Don’t you remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things? 6Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season. 7For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way. 8Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming; 9even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie; 12that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth; 14to which he called you through our Good News, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word, or by letter. 16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.

1En wij bidden u, broeders, door de toekomst van onzen Heere Jezus Christus, en onze toevergadering tot Hem, 2Dat gij niet haastelijk bewogen wordt van verstand, of verschrikt, noch door geest, noch door woord, noch door zendbrief, als van ons geschreven, alsof de dag van Christus aanstaande ware. 3Dat u niemand verleide op enigerlei wijze; want die komt niet, tenzij dat eerst de afval gekomen zij, en dat geopenbaard zij de mens der zonde, de zoon des verderfs; 4Die zich tegenstelt, en verheft boven al wat God genaamd, of als God geeerd wordt, alzo dat hij in den tempel Gods als een God zal zitten, zichzelven vertonende, dat hij God is. 5Gedenkt gij niet, dat ik, nog bij u zijnde, u deze dingen gezegd heb? 6En nu, wat hem wederhoudt, weet gij, opdat hij geopenbaard worde te zijner eigen tijd. 7Want de verborgenheid der ongerechtigheid wordt alrede gewrocht; alleenlijk, Die hem nu wederhoudt, Die zal hem wederhouden, totdat hij uit het midden zal weggedaan worden. 8En alsdan zal de ongerechtige geopenbaard worden, denwelken de Heere verdoen zal door den Geest Zijns monds, en te niet maken door de verschijning Zijner toekomst; 9Hem, zeg ik, wiens toekomst is naar de werking des satans, in alle kracht, en tekenen, en wonderen der leugen; 10En in alle verleiding der onrechtvaardigheid in degenen, die verloren gaan; daarvoor dat zij de liefde der waarheid niet aangenomen hebben, om zalig te worden. 11En daarom zal God hun zenden een kracht der dwaling, dat zij de leugen zouden geloven; 12Opdat zij allen veroordeeld worden, die de waarheid niet geloofd hebben, maar een welbehagen hebben gehad in de ongerechtigheid. 13Maar wij zijn schuldig altijd God te danken over u, broeders, die van den Heere bemind zijt, dat u God van den beginne verkoren heeft tot zaligheid, in heiligmaking des Geestes, en geloof der waarheid; 14Waartoe Hij u geroepen heeft door ons Evangelie, tot verkrijging der heerlijkheid van onzen Heere Jezus Christus. 15Zo dan, broeders, staat vast en houdt de inzettingen, die u geleerd zijn, hetzij door ons woord, hetzij door onzen zendbrief. 16En onze Heere Jezus Christus Zelf, en onze God en Vader, Die ons heeft liefgehad, en gegeven heeft een eeuwige vertroosting en goede hoop in genade, 17Vertrooste uw harten, en versterke u in alle goed woord en werk.
