Ωσηέ 6

1Έλθετε και ας επιστρέψωμεν προς τον Κύριον· διότι αυτός διεσπάραξε, και θέλει μας ιατρεύσει· επάταξε, και θέλει περιδέσει την πληγήν ημών. 2Θέλει αναζωοποήσει ημάς μετά δύο ημέρας· εν τη τρίτη ημέρα θέλει μας αναστήσει, και θέλομεν ζη ενώπιον αυτού. 3Τότε θέλομεν γνωρίσει και θέλομεν εξακολουθεί να γνωρίζωμεν τον Κύριον· η έξοδος αυτού είναι προδιατεταγμένη ως η αυγή· και θέλει ελθεί προς ημάς ως υετός, ως βροχή όψιμος και πρώϊμος επί την γην. 4Τι να κάμω εις σε, Εφραΐμ; τι να κάμω εις σε, Ιούδα; διότι η καλωσύνη σας είναι ως νεφέλη πρωϊνή και ως δρόσος εωθινή ήτις παρέρχεται. 5Διά τούτο κατέκοψα αυτούς διά των προφητών· εφόνευσα αυτούς διά των λόγων του στόματός μου· και αι κρίσεις σου θέλουσιν εξέλθει ως φως. 6Διότι έλεος θέλω και ουχί θυσίαν· και επίγνωσιν Θεού μάλλον παρά ολοκαυτώματα. 7Αυτοί όμως ως ο Αδάμ παρέβησαν την διαθήκην· εν τούτω εφέρθησαν απίστως προς εμέ. 8Η Γαλαάδ είναι πόλις εργαζομένων ανομίαν, ενεδρεύουσα αίμα. 9Και ως στίφη ληστών παραμονεύοντα άνθρωπον, ούτως ο σύλλογος των ιερέων φονεύουσιν εν τη οδώ μέχρι Συχέμ· διότι έπραξαν αισχρά. 10Εν τω οίκω Ισραήλ είδον φρίκην· εκεί είναι η πορνεία του Εφραΐμ· ο Ισραήλ εμιάνθη. 11Και διά σε, Ιούδα, διωρίσθη θερισμός, όταν εγώ επιστρέψω την αιχμαλωσίαν του λαού μου.

1“Come, and let us return to Yahweh; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds. 2After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him. 3Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh. As surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth.” 4“Ephraim, what shall I do to you? Judah, what shall I do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early. 5Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning. 6For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 7But they, like Adam, have broken the covenant. They were unfaithful to me, there. 8Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood. 9As gangs of robbers wait to ambush a man, so the company of priests murder on the path toward Shechem, committing shameful crimes. 10In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing. There is prostitution in Ephraim. Israel is defiled. 11“Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.

1Komt en laat ons wederkeren tot den HEERE, want Hij heeft verscheurd, en Hij zal ons genezen; Hij heeft geslagen, en Hij zal ons verbinden. 2Hij zal ons na twee dagen levend maken; op den derden dag zal Hij ons doen verrijzen, en wij zullen voor Zijn aangezicht leven. 3Dan zullen wij kennen, wij zullen vervolgen, om den HEERE te kennen; Zijn uitgang is bereid als de dageraad; en Hij zal tot ons komen als een regen, als de spade regen en vroege regen des lands. 4Wat zal Ik u doen, o Efraim! wat zal Ik u doen, o Juda! dewijl uw weldadigheid is als een morgenwolk, en als een vroegkomende dauw, die henengaat. 5Daarom heb Ik hen behouwen door de profeten; Ik heb ze gedood door de redenen Mijns monds; en uw oordelen zullen voortkomen aan het licht. 6Want Ik heb lust tot weldadigheid, en niet tot offer; en tot de kennis Gods, meer dan tot brandofferen. 7Maar zij hebben het verbond overtreden als Adam; daar hebben zij trouwelooslijk tegen Mij gehandeld. 8Gilead is een stad van werkers der ongerechtigheid; zij is betreden van bloed. 9Gelijk de benden der straatschenders op iemand wachten, alzo is het gezelschap der priesteren; zij moorden op den weg naar Sichem, waarlijk, zij doen schandelijke daden. 10Ik zie een afschuwelijke zaak in het huis Israels; aldaar is Efraims hoererij, Israel is verontreinigd. 11Ook heeft hij u, o Juda! een oogst gezet, als Ik de gevangenen Mijns volks wederbracht.
