Αμώς 9

1Είδον τον Κύριον ιστάμενον επί του θυσιαστηρίου, και είπε, Πάταξον το ανώφλιον της πύλης, διά να σεισθώσι τα προπύλαια, και σύντριψον αυτά κατά της κεφαλής πάντων τούτων· τους δε υπολοίπους αυτών θέλω θανατώσει εν ρομφαία· ουδείς εξ αυτών φεύγων θέλει διαφύγει και ουδείς εξ αυτών σωζόμενος θέλει διασωθή. 2Εάν σκάψωσιν έως άδου, εκείθεν η χειρ μου θέλει ανασπάσει αυτούς· και εάν αναβώσιν εις τον ουρανόν, εκείθεν θέλω κατάξει αυτούς. 3Και εάν κρυφθώσιν εν τη κορυφή του Καρμήλου, εκείθεν θέλω εξερευνήσει και συλλάβει αυτούς· και εάν κρυφθώσιν από των οφθαλμών μου εις τα βάθη της θαλάσσης, εκεί θέλω προστάξει τον δράκοντα και θέλει δαγκάσει αυτούς. 4Και εάν υπάγωσιν εις αιχμαλωσίαν έμπροσθεν των εχθρών αυτών, εκείθεν θέλω προστάξει την μάχαιραν και θέλει θανατώσει αυτούς· και θέλω στήσει τους οφθαλμούς μου επ' αυτούς διά κακόν και ουχί διά καλόν. 5Διότι Κύριος ο Θεός των δυνάμεων είναι, όστις εγγίζει την γην και τήκεται, και πάντες οι κατοικούντες εν αυτή θέλουσι πενθήσει· και θέλει υπερεκχειλίσει όλη ως ποταμός και θέλει καταποντισθή ως υπό του ποταμού της Αιγύπτου. 6Αυτός είναι ο οικοδομών τα υπερώα αυτού εν τω ουρανώ και θεμελιών τον θόλον αυτού επί της γης, ο προσκαλών τα ύδατα της θαλάσσης και εκχέων αυτά επί το πρόσωπον της γής· Κύριος το όνομα αυτού. 7δεν είσθε εις εμέ ως υιοί Αιθιόπων, σεις υιοί Ισραήλ; λέγει Κύριος· δεν ανεβίβασα τον Ισραήλ εκ γης Αιγύπτου και τους Φιλισταίους από Καφθόρ και τους Συρίους από Κιρ; 8Ιδού, οι οφθαλμοί Κυρίου του Θεού είναι επί το βασίλειον το αμαρτωλόν, και θέλω αφανίσει αυτό από προσώπου της γής· πλην ότι δεν θέλω αφανίσει ολοτελώς τον οίκον Ιακώβ, λέγει Κύριος. 9Διότι ιδού, εγώ θέλω προστάξει και θέλω λικμήσει τον οίκον Ισραήλ μεταξύ πάντων των εθνών, καθώς λικμάται ο σίτος εν τω κοσκίνω, και δεν θέλει πέσει κόκκος επί την γην. 10Υπό ρομφαίας θέλουσιν αποθάνει πάντες οι αμαρτωλοί του λαού μου, οι λέγοντες, Δεν θέλει μας εγγίσει ουδέ μας καταφθάσει το κακόν. 11Εν τη ημέρα εκείνη θέλω αναστήσει την σκηνήν του Δαβίδ την πεπτωκυίαν, και θέλω φράξει τας χαλάστρας αυτής, και θέλω ανεγείρει τα ερείπια αυτής, και θέλω ανοικοδομήσει αυτήν ως εν ταις αρχαίαις ημέραις· 12διά να κληρονομήσωσι το υπόλοιπον του Εδώμ και πάντα τα έθνη, επί τα οποία καλείται το όνομά μου, λέγει Κύριος, ο ποιών ταύτα. 13Ιδού, έρχονται ημέραι, λέγει Κύριος, και ο αροτρεύς θέλει φθάσει τον θεριστήν και ο ληνοβάτης τον σπείροντα τον σπόρον, και τα όρη θέλουσι σταλάξει γλεύκος και πάντες οι βουνοί θέλουσι ρέει αγαθά. 14Και θέλω επιστρέψει τους αιχμαλώτους του λαού μου Ισραήλ, και θέλουσιν ανοικοδομήσει τας πόλεις τας ηρημωμένας και κατοικήσει· και θέλουσι φυτεύσει αμπελώνας και πίει τον οίνον αυτών, και θέλουσι κάμει κήπους και φάγει τον καρπόν αυτών. 15Και θέλω φυτεύσει αυτούς επί την γην αυτών, και δεν θέλουσιν εκσπασθή πλέον από της γης αυτών, την οποίαν έδωκα εις αυτούς, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός σου.

1I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said, “Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will kill the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape. 2Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down. 3Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out there; and though they be hidden from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them. 4Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good. 5For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt. 6It is he who builds his rooms in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth; Yahweh is his name. 7Are you not like the children of the Ethiopians to me, children of Israel?” says Yahweh. “Haven’t I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? 8Behold, the eyes of the Lord Yahweh are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” says Yahweh. 9“For, behold, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet not the least kernel will fall on the earth. 10All the sinners of my people will die by the sword, who say, ‘Evil won’t overtake nor meet us.’ 11In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old; 12that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my name,” says Yahweh who does this. 13“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills. 14I will bring my people Israel back from captivity, and they will rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards, and drink wine from them. They shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit. 15I will plant them on their land, and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them,” says Yahweh your God.

1Ik zag den Heere staan op het altaar, en Hij zeide: Sla dien knoop, dat de posten beven, en doorkloof ze allen in het hoofd; en Ik zal hun achterste met het zwaard doden; en vliedende zal onder hen niet ontvlieden, noch de ontkomende onder hen behouden worden. 2Al groeven zij tot in de hel, zo zal Mijn hand ze van daar halen, en al klommen zij in den hemel, zo zal Ik ze van daar doen nederdalen. 3En al verstaken zij zich op de hoogte van Karmel, zo zal Ik ze naspeuren en van daar halen; en al verborgen zij zich van voor Mijn ogen in den grond van de zee, zo zal Ik van daar een slang gebieden, die zal ze bijten. 4En al gingen zij in gevangenis voor het aangezicht hunner vijanden, zo zal Ik vandaar het zwaard gebieden, dat het hen dode; en Ik zal Mijn oog tegen hen zetten ten kwade, en niet ten goede. 5Want de Heere HEERE der heirscharen is het, Die het land aanroert, dat het versmelte, en allen, die daarin wonen, treuren; en dat het geheel oprijze als een rivier, en verdronken worde als door de rivier van Egypte. 6Die Zijn opperzalen in den hemel bouwt, en Zijn benden heeft Hij op aarde gefondeerd; Die de wateren der zee roept, en giet ze uit op den aardbodem; HEERE is Zijn Naam. 7Zijt gijlieden Mij niet als de kinderen der Moren, o kinderen Israels? spreekt de HEERE. Heb Ik Israel niet opgevoerd uit Egypteland, en de Filistijnen uit Kafthor, en de Syriers uit Kir? 8Ziet, de ogen des Heeren HEEREN zijn tegen dit zondig koninkrijk, dat Ik het van den aardbodem verdelge; behalve dat Ik het huis Jakobs niet ganselijk zal verdelgen, spreekt de HEERE. 9Want ziet, Ik geef bevel, en Ik zal het huis Israels onder al de heidenen schudden, gelijk als zaad geschud wordt in een zeef; en niet een steentje zal er ter aarde vallen. 10Alle zondaars Mijns volks zullen door het zwaard sterven; die daar zeggen: Het kwaad zal tot ons niet genaken, noch ons voorkomen. 11Te dien dage zal Ik de vervallen hut van David weder oprichten, en Ik zal haar reten vertuinen, en wat aan haar is afgebroken, weder oprichten, en zal ze bouwen, als in de dagen van ouds; 12Opdat zij erfelijk bezitten het overblijfsel van Edom, en al de heidenen, die naar Mijn Naam genoemd worden, spreekt de HEERE, Die dit doet. 13Ziet, de dagen komen, spreekt de HEERE, dat de ploeger den maaier, en de druiventreder den zaadzaaier genaken zal; en de bergen zullen van zoeten wijn druipen, en al de heuvelen zullen smelten. 14En Ik zal de gevangenis van Mijn volk Israel wenden, en zij zullen de verwoeste steden herbouwen en bewonen, en wijngaarden planten, en derzelver wijn drinken; en zij zullen hoven maken, en derzelver vrucht eten. 15En Ik zal ze in hun land planten; en zij zullen niet meer worden uitgerukt uit hun land, dat Ik hunlieden gegeven heb, zegt de HEERE, uw God.
