1Γοθολία δε, η μήτηρ του Οχοζίου, ιδούσα ότι απέθανεν ο υιός αυτής, εσηκώθη και ηφάνισε παν το βασιλικόν σπέρμα. 2Ιωσαβεέ όμως, η θυγάτηρ του βασιλέως Ιωράμ, αδελφή του Οχοζίου, λαβούσα τον Ιωάς υιόν του Οχοζίου, έκλεψεν αυτόν εκ μέσου των υιών του βασιλέως των θανατουμένων, αυτόν και την τροφόν αυτού, και έβαλεν εν τω ταμείω του κοιτώνος, και έκρυψαν αυτόν από προσώπου της Γοθολίας, και δεν εθανατώθη. 3Και ήτο μετ' αυτής εν τω οίκω του Κυρίου κρυπτόμενος εξ έτη.
