1Mluvil pak Hospodin k Mojžíšovi na poušti Sinai, v stánku úmluvy, prvního dne měsíce druhého, léta druhého po vyjití jejich z země Egyptské, řka: 2Sečtěte summu všeho množství synů Izraelských po čeledech jejich, a po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen každého pohlaví mužského po hlavách jejich, 3Od dvadcítiletých a výše všecky, kteříž by mohli jíti k boji v Izraeli, sečtěte je po houfích jejich, ty a Aron. 4A bude s vámi z každého pokolení jeden muž, kterýž by přední byl v domě otců svých. 5Tato pak jsou jména mužů, kteříž stanou s vámi: Z pokolení Rubenova Elisur, syn Sedeurův; 6Z Simeonova Salamiel, syn Surisaddai; 7Z Judova Názon, syn Aminadabův; 8Z Izacharova Natanael, syn Suar; 9Z Zabulonova Eliab, syn Helonův; 10Z synů Jozefových, z pokolení Efraimova Elisama, syn Amiudův; z Manassesova Gamaliel, syn Fadasurův; 11Z Beniaminova Abidan, syn Gedeonův; 12Z pokolení Dan Ahiezer, syn Amisaddai; 13Z Asser Fegiel, syn Ochranův; 14Z pokolení Gád Eliazaf, syn Duelův; 15Z Neftalímova Ahira, syn Enanův. 16Ti jsou slovoutní z lidu, knížata pokolení otců svých, ti jako hlavy tisíců Izraelských budou. 17Vzal tedy Mojžíš a Aron muže ty, kteříž jmenováni byli, 18A shromáždili všecko množství prvního dne měsíce druhého, kteříž přiznávali se k rodům svým po čeledech svých, po domích otců svých, a vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše po osobách svých. 19Jakož byl přikázal Hospodin Mojžíšovi, tak sčetl je na poušti Sinai. 20I bylo synů Rubena prvorozeného Izraelova, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, a podlé počtu jmen, po hlavách jejich, všech pohlaví mužského, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 21A načteno jich z pokolení Rubenova čtyřidceti šest tisíců a pět set. 22Z synů Simeonových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, sečtených jeho vedlé počtu jmen, po hlavách jejich, všech pohlaví mužského od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 23Načteno jich z pokolení Simeonova padesáte devět tisíců a tři sta. 24Z synů Gádových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, podlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli bojovati, 25Načteno jich z pokolení Gádova čtyřidceti pět tisíců, šest set a padesát. 26Z synů Judových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcíti let a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 27Načteno jich z pokolení Judova sedmdesáte čtyři tisíce a šest set. 28Z synů Izacharových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, podlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 29Načteno jich z pokolení Izacharova padesáte čtyři tisíce a čtyři sta. 30Z synů Zabulonových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, podlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 31Načteno jich z pokolení Zabulonova padesáte sedm tisíců a čtyři sta. 32Z synů Jozefových, a nejprv, synů Efraimových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, podlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 33Načteno jich z pokolení Efraimova čtyřidceti tisíc a pět set. 34Potom z synů Manassesových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž vycházeli k boji, 35Načteno jich z pokolení Manassesova třidceti dva tisíce a dvě stě. 36Z synů Beniaminových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti do boje, 37Načteno jich z pokolení Beniaminova třidceti pět tisíců a čtyři sta. 38Z synů Dan, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž vycházeli k boji, 39Načteno jich z pokolení Dan šedesáte dva tisíce a sedm set. 40Z synů Asser, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti na vojnu, 41Načteno jich z pokolení Asser čtyřidceti jeden tisíců a pět set. 42Z synů Neftalímových, rodiny jejich, po čeledech jejich, po domích otců jejich, vedlé počtu jmen, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli jíti k boji, 43Načteno jich z pokolení Neftalímova padesáte tři tisíce a čtyři sta. 44Ten jest počet těch, kteréž sečtl Mojžíš a Aron a knížata Izraelská, dvanácte mužů, kteříž byli vybráni po jednom z domů otců svých. 45I bylo všech sečtených synů Izraelských po domích otců jejich, od dvadcítiletých a výše, všech, kteříž mohli vycházeti k boji v Izraeli, 46Všech sečtených bylo šestkrát sto tisíc, a tři tisíce, pět set a padesáte. 47Levítové pak vedlé pokolení otců svých nejsou počítáni mezi ně. 48Nebo byl mluvil Hospodin k Mojžíšovi, řka: 49Pokolení Levítského nebudeš počítati, a nepřičteš jich k synům Izraelským, 50Ale ustanovíš Levíty nad příbytkem svědectví, a nade vším nádobím jeho, a nade všemi věcmi, kteréž přináležejí k němu. Oni nositi budou příbytek i všecka nádobí jeho, oni přisluhovati budou jemu, a vůkol příbytku klásti se budou. 51Když se pak s místa bude míti hýbati příbytek, složí jej Levítové; a když se bude klásti příbytek, vyzdvihnou jej Levítové. Kdož by koli cizí přistoupil, umře. 52I budouť se klásti synové Izraelští, jeden každý v ležení svém, a jeden každý pod praporcem svým, a po houfích svých. 53Levítové pak klásti se budou vůkol příbytku svědectví, aby nepřišlo rozhněvání mé na shromáždění synů Izraelských; i budou Levítové držeti stráž u příbytku svědectví. 54Učinili tedy to synové Izraelští; všecko, jakž přikázal Hospodin Mojžíšovi, tak učinili.

1Yahweh spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, 2“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one; 3from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their divisions. 4With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house. 5These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur. 6Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. 7Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab. 8Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar. 9Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon. 10Of the children of Joseph: Of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud. Of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. 11Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni. 12Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. 13Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran. 14Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel. 15Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.” 16These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel. 17Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name. 18They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one. 19As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai. 20The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 21those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred. 22Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were numbered of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 23those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred. 24Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 25those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty. 26Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 27those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand six hundred. 28Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 29those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred. 30Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 31those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred. 32Of the children of Joseph, of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 33those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand five hundred. 34Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 35those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred. 36Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 37those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand four hundred. 38Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 39those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred. 40Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 41those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred. 42Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war; 43those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred. 44These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house. 45So all those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel; 46even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty. 47But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. 48For Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 49“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel; 50but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it. 51When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death. 52The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions. 53But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.” 54Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they did.

1Voorts sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, in de woestijn van Sinai, in de tent der samenkomst, op den eersten der tweede maand, in het tweede jaar, nadat zij uit Egypteland uitgetogen ware, zeggende: 2Neem op de som van de gehele vergadering der kinderen Israels, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van al wat mannelijk is, hoofd voor hoofd. 3Van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire in Israel uittrekken; die zult gij tellen naar hun heiren, gij en Aaron. 4En met ulieden zullen zijn van elken stam een man, die een hoofdman is over het huis zijner vaderen. 5Deze zijn nu de namen der mannen, die bij u staan zullen: van Ruben, Elizur, de zoon van Sedeur. 6Van Simeon, Selumiel, de zoon van Zurisaddai. 7Van Juda, Nahesson, de zoon van Amminadab. 8Van Issaschar, Nethaneel, de zoon van Zuar. 9Van Zebulon, Eliab, de zoon van Helon. 10Van de kinderen van Jozef: van Efraim, Elisama, de zoon van Ammihud; zij waren de hoofden der duizenden van Israel. 17Toen namen Mozes en Aaron die mannen, welken met namen uitgedrukt zijn. 18En zij verzamelden de gehele vergadering, op den eersten dag der tweede maand; en die verklaarden hun afkomst, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van die twintig jaren oud was en daarboven, hoofd voor hoofd. 19Gelijk als de HEERE Mozes geboden had, zo heeft hij hen geteld in de woestijn van Sinai. 20Zo waren de zonen van Ruben, den eerstgeborene van Israel, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, hoofd voor hoofd, al wat mannelijk was, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken; 21Hun getelden van den stam van Ruben waren zes en veertig duizend en vijfhonderd. 22Van de zonen van Simeon, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, zijn getelden, in het getal der namen, hoofd voor hoofd, al wat mannelijk was, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken; 23Hun getelden van den stam van Simeon waren negen en vijftig duizend en driehonderd. 24Van de zonen van Gad, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken. 25Waren hun getelden van den stam van Gad vijf en veertig duizend zeshonderd en vijftig. 26Van de zonen van Juda, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 27Waren hun getelden van den stam van Juda vier en zeventig duizend en zeshonderd. 28Van de zonen van Issaschar, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 29Waren hun getelden van den stam van Issaschar vier en vijftig duizend en vierhonderd. 30Van de zonen van Zebulon, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 31Waren hun getelden van den stam van Zebulon zeven en vijftig duizend en vierhonderd. 32Van de zonen van Jozef: van de zonen van Efraim, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 33Waren hun getelden van den stam van Efraim veertig duizend en vijfhonderd; 34Van de zonen van Manasse, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 35Waren hun getelden van den stam van Manasse twee en dertig duizend en tweehonderd. 36Van de zonen van Benjamin, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 37Waren hun getelden van den stam van Benjamin vijf en dertig duizend en vierhonderd. 38Van de zonen van Dan, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 39Waren hun getelden van den stam van Dan twee en zestig duizend en zevenhonderd. 40Van de zonen van Aser, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 41Waren hun getelden van den stam van Aser een en veertig duizend en vijfhonderd. 42Van de zonen van Nafthali, hun geboorten, naar hun geslachten, naar het huis hunner vaderen, in het getal der namen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die ten heire uittrokken, 43Waren hun getelden van den stam van Nafthali drie en vijftig duizend en vierhonderd. 44Dezen zijn de getelden, welke Mozes geteld heeft, en Aaron, en de oversten van Israel; twaalf mannen waren zij, elk over het huis zijner vaderen. 45Alzo waren al de getelden der zonen van Israel, naar het huis hunner vaderen, van twintig jaren oud en daarboven, allen, die in Israel ten heire uittrokken, 46Al de getelden dan waren zeshonderd drie duizend vijfhonderd en vijftig. 47Maar de Levieten, naar den stam hunner vaderen, werden onder hen niet geteld. 48Want de HEERE had tot Mozes gesproken, zeggende: 49Alleen de stam van Levi zult gij niet tellen, noch hun som opnemen, onder de zonen van Israel. 50Maar gij, stel de Levieten over den tabernakel der getuigenis, en over al zijn gereedschap, en over alles, wat daartoe behoort; zij zullen den tabernakel dragen, en al zijn gereedschap; en zij zullen dien bedienen, en zij zullen zich rondom den tabernakel legeren. 51En als de tabernakel zal optrekken, de Levieten zullen denzelven afnemen; en wanneer de tabernakel zich legeren zal, zullen de Levieten denzelven oprichten; en de vreemde, die daarbij komt, zal gedood worden. 52En de kinderen Israels zullen zich legeren, een iegelijk bij zijn leger, en een iegelijk bij zijn banier, naar hun heiren. 53Maar de Levieten zullen zich legeren rondom den tabernakel der getuigenis, opdat geen verbolgenheid over de vergadering van de kinderen Israels zij; daarom zullen de Levieten de wacht van den tabernakel der getuigenis waarnemen. 54Zo deden de kinderen Israels; naar alles, wat de HEERE Mozes geboden had, zo deden zij.
