Єремія 27

1У початку царювання Седекіїного Йосієнкового, царя Юдейського, надійшло таке слово до Еремії від Господа: 2Так говорить до мене Господь: Зроби собі повороз і ярмо, та й наложи собі на шию: 3І пошли такі ж самі цареві Ідумейському й цареві Моабійському й цареві Аммонїйському й цареві Тирському й цареві Сидонському через посли, що поприходили до Седекії, царя Юдейського, в Ерусалими. 4І накажи їм промовити володарям їх ось що: Так говорить Господь сил, Бог Ізраїля: Ось як скажіть володарям вашим: 5Я сотворив землю, людей і зьвірину по цїлій землї великою моєю силою й простягнутою рукою, та й оддаю її, кому схочу, 6Нинї ж даю всї цї займища на поталу слузї мойму Навуходонозорові, цареві Вавилонському, ба й звіррє польове даю йому на його послугу. 7Та й усї народи будуть служити йому й синові його й синові сина його, докіль прийде година (кари) й на його землю й на його самого; й служити муть йому народи многі й царі великі. 8І коли який нарід або царство не схоче служити йому, Навуходонозорові, цареві Вавилонському, й не підхилить своєї шиї під ярмо царя Вавилонського, — так я скараю нарід той мечем і голоднечею й моровою заразою, говорить Господь, аж покіль їх не вигублю його рукою. 9Тим то не слухайте ваших пророків, нї ваших віщунів, нї ваших сноводів, нї знахорів, нї звіздарів, що вас впевняють, кажучи: Не будете служити цареві Вавилонському. 10Бо вони пророкують вам неправду, а тим вони хиба повиганяють вас із вашої землї, та й я повикидаю вас і ви погибнете. 11Той же люд, що підклонить шию свою в ярмо цареві Вавилонському й що йому служити ме, того зоставлю в супокою на його землї, говорить Господь, щоб її порав і на нїй жив. 12Та й Седекії, цареві Юдейському, говорив я всї отті слова: Подайте шиї ваші в ярмо цареві Вавилонському та й служіть йому й його народові, так будете живі. 13Про що гинути тобі самому й людові твому од меча, голоднечі й пошестї, як се грозив Господь тим народам, що не схотять служити цареві Вавилонському? 14Не вважайте на слова тих пророків, що вам договорюють: Не будете служити цареві Вавилонському: вони бо вам неправду пророкують. 15Не посилав бо я їх, говорить Господь, і вони вам пророкують неправду в імя моє, щоб я вас попроганяв та щоб ви попропадали, — ви з вашими пророками, що вам пророкували. 16Та й до сьвященників і до всього люду сього промовляв я: Так говорить Господь: Не слухайте слів ваших пророків, що пророкують вам і говорять: Ось незабаром верне посуд дому Господнього з Вавилону! бо неправду вони пророкують вам. 17Не слухайте їх, служіть цареві Вавилонському, то й живими зостанетесь; про що доводити се місто до спустошення? 18Коли ж вони пророки, й коли в їх є слово Господнє, так нехай би вони благали Господа Саваота, щоб той посуд, що зостається ще в дому Господньому й у палатах у царя Юдейського і в Ерусалимі, не перевезено в Вавилон. 19Так бо говорить Господь сил небесних про стовпи й про мідяне море й про підніжки та про останок посуду, що лишився ще в сьому городї, 20Що не позабірав Навуходонозор, царь Вавилонський, як одвів Ехонїю Йоакименка, царя Юдейського, з Ерусалиму в Вавилон з усїма значніми в Юдеї і в Ерусалимі. 21Так говорить Господь Саваот, Бог Ізраїля, про посуд, осталий в дому Господньому й у палатї царя Юдейського й в Ерусалимі: 22У Вавилон вивезуть його, й буде він там до того часу, коли я звідаюсь до них, говорить Господь і виведу їх, та й знов приведу на се місце.

1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying, 2Thus says Yahweh to me: Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck; 3and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah; 4and give them a command to their masters, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, You shall tell your masters: 5I have made the earth, the men and the animals that are on the surface of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it to whom it seems right to me. 6Now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the animals of the field also have I given him to serve him. 7All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant. 8It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says Yahweh, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. 9But as for you, don’t you listen to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon: 10for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish. 11But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, says Yahweh; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. 12I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. 13Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? 14Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you. 15For I have not sent them, says Yahweh, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you. 16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you. 17Don’t listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city become a desolation? 18But if they be prophets, and if Yahweh’s word be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon. 19For thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city, 20which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; 21yes, thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in Yahweh’s house, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem: 22They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, says Yahweh; then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.

1In het begin des koninkrijks van Jojakim, zoon van Josia, koning van Juda, geschiedde dit woord tot Jeremia, van den HEERE, zeggende: 2Alzo zeide de HEERE tot mij: Maak u banden en jukken, en doe die aan uw hals; 3En zend ze tot den koning van Edom, en tot den koning van Moab, en tot den koning der kinderen Ammons, en tot den koning van Tyrus, en tot den koning van Sidon; door de hand der boden, die te Jeruzalem tot Zedekia, den koning van Juda, komen. 4En beveel hun aan hun heren te zeggen: Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Zo zult gij tot uw heren zeggen: 5Ik heb gemaakt de aarde, den mens en het vee, die op den aardbodem zijn, door Mijn grote kracht, en door Mijn uitgestrekten arm, en Ik geef ze aan welken het recht is in Mijn ogen. 6En nu, Ik heb al deze landen gegeven in de hand van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, Mijn knecht; zelfs ook het gedierte des velds heb Ik hem gegeven, om hem te dienen. 7En alle volken zullen hem, en zijn zoon, en zijns zoons zoon dienen, totdat ook de tijd zijns eigenen lands kome; dan zullen zich machtige volken en grote koningen van hem doen dienen. 8En het zal geschieden, het volk en het koninkrijk, dat hem, Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, niet zal dienen, en dat zijn hals niet zal geven onder het juk des konings van Babel; over datzelve volk zal Ik, spreekt de HEERE, bezoeking doen door het zwaard, en door den honger, en door de pestilentie, totdat Ik ze zal verteerd hebben door zijn hand. 9Gijlieden dan, hoort niet naar uw profeten, en naar uw waarzeggers, en naar uw dromers, en naar uw guichelaars, en naar uw tovenaars, dewelke tot u spreken, zeggende: Gij zult den koning van Babel niet dienen. 10Want zij profeteren u valsheid, om u verre uit uw land te brengen, en dat Ik u uitstote, en gij omkomt. 11Maar het volk, dat zijn hals zal brengen onder het juk des konings van Babel, en hem dienen, datzelve zal Ik in zijn land laten, spreekt de HEERE, en het zal dat bouwen en daarin wonen. 12Daarna sprak ik tot Zedekia, den koning van Juda, naar al deze woorden, zeggende: Brengt uw halzen onder het juk des konings van Babel, en dient hem en zijn volk, zo zult gij leven. 13Waarom zoudt gij sterven, gij en uw volk door het zwaard, door den honger en door de pestilentie, gelijk als de HEERE gesproken heeft van het volk, dat den koning van Babel niet zal dienen. 14Hoort dan niet naar de woorden der profeten, die tot u spreken, zeggende: Gij zult den koning van Babel niet dienen; want zij profeteren u valsheid. 15Want Ik heb ze niet gezonden, spreekt de HEERE, en zij profeteren valselijk in Mijn Naam; opdat Ik u uitstote, en gij omkomt, gij en de profeten, die u profeteren. 16Ook sprak ik tot de priesteren, en tot dit ganse volk, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Hoort niet naar de woorden uwer profeten, die u profeteren, zeggende: Ziet, de vaten van des HEEREN huis zullen nu haast uit Babel wedergebracht worden; want zij profeteren u valsheid. 17Hoort niet naar hen, maar dient den koning van Babel, zo zult gijlieden leven; waarom zou deze stad tot een woestheid worden? 18Maar zo zij profeten zijn, en zo des HEEREN woord bij hen is, laat hen nu bij den HEERE der heirscharen voorbidden, opdat de vaten, die in het huis des HEEREN, en in het huis des konings van Juda, en te Jeruzalem zijn overgebleven, niet naar Babel komen. 19Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, van de pilaren, en van de zee, en van de stellingen, en van het overige der vaten, die in deze stad zijn overgebleven, 20Die Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, niet heeft weggenomen, als hij Jechonia, den zoon van Jojakim, koning van Juda, van Jeruzalem, naar Babel gevankelijk wegvoerde, mitsgaders al de edelen van Juda en Jeruzalem; 21Ja, zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels, van de vaten, die in het huis des HEEREN, en in het huis des konings van Juda, en te Jeruzalem zijn overgebleven: 22Naar Babel zullen zij gebracht worden, en aldaar zullen zij zijn, tot den dag toe, dat Ik ze bezoeken zal, spreekt de HEERE; dan zal Ik ze opvoeren, en zal ze wederbrengen tot deze plaats.
