2. Солуњанима 1

1Од Павла и Силвана и Тимотија цркви солунској у Богу Оцу нашем и Господу Исусу Христу: 2Благодат вам и мир од Бога Оца нашег и Господа Исуса Христа. 3Дужни смо свагда захваљивати Богу за вас, браћо, као што треба; јер расте врло вера ваша, и множи се љубав сваког од вас међу вама, 4Тако да се ми сами хвалимо вама црквама Божјима, вашим трпљењем и вером у свим вашим гоњењима и невољама које подносите, 5За знак праведног суда Божјег да се удостојите царства Божјег, за које и страдате. 6Јер је праведно у Бога да врати муке онима који вас муче; 7А вама које муче покој с нама кад се покаже Господ Исус с неба с анђелима силе своје 8У огњу пламеном, који ће дати освету онима који не познају Бога и не слушају јеванђеља Господа нашег Исуса Христа; 9Који ће примити муку, погибао вечну од лица Господњег и од славе Његове, 10Кад дође да се прослави у светима својим, и диван да буде у свима који Га вероваше; јер се прими сведочанство наше међу вама у онај дан. 11Зато се и молимо свагда за вас да вас удостоји Бог наш звања, и испуни сваку радост доброте и дело вере у сили; 12Да се прослави име Господа нашег Исуса Христа у вама и ви у Њему, по благодати Бога нашег и Господа Исуса Христа.

1Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ: 2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds; 4so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure. 5This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer. 6Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you, 7and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, 8giving vengeance to those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus, 9who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, 10when he comes to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired among all those who have believed (because our testimony to you was believed) in that day. 11To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power; 12that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Paulus, en Silvanus, en Timotheus, aan de Gemeente der Thessalonicensen, welke is in God, onzen Vader, en den Heere Jezus Christus: 2Genade zij u, en vrede, van God, onzen Vader, en den Heere Jezus Christus. 3Wij moeten God te allen tijd danken over u, broeders, gelijk billijk is, omdat uw geloof zeer wast, en dat de liefde eens iegelijken van u allen jegens elkander overvloedig wordt; 4Alzo dat wij zelven van u roemen in de Gemeenten Gods, over uw lijdzaamheid en geloof in al uw vervolgingen en verdrukkingen, die gij verdraagt; 5Een bewijs van Gods rechtvaardig oordeel, opdat gij waardig geacht wordt het Koninkrijk Gods, voor hetwelk gij ook lijdt; 6Alzo het recht is bij God verdrukking te vergelden dengenen, die u verdrukken; 7En u, die verdrukt wordt, verkwikking met ons, in de openbaring van den Heere Jezus van den hemel met de engelen Zijner kracht; 8Met vlammend vuur wraak doende over degenen, die God niet kennen, en over degenen, die het Evangelie van onzen Heere Jezus Christus niet gehoorzaam zijn. 9Dewelken zullen tot straf lijden het eeuwig verderf, van het aangezicht des Heeren, en van de heerlijkheid Zijner sterkte, 10Wanneer Hij zal gekomen zijn, om verheerlijkt te worden in Zijn heiligen, en wonderbaar te worden in allen, die geloven (overmits onze getuigenis onder u is geloofd geworden) in dien dag. 11Waarom wij ook altijd bidden voor u, dat onze God u waardig achte der roeping, en vervulle al het welbehagen Zijner goedigheid, en het werk des geloofs met kracht. 12Opdat de Naam van onzen Heere Jezus Christus verheerlijkt worde in u, en gij in Hem, naar de genade van onzen God en den Heere Jezus Christus.
