창세기 46

1이스라엘이 모든 소유를 이끌고 발행하여 브엘세바에 이르러 그 아비 이삭의 하나님께 희생을 드리니 2밤에 하나님이 이상 중에 이스라엘에게 나타나시고 불러 가라사대 야곱아 야곱아 하시는지라 야곱이 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 하매 3하나님이 가라사대 나는 하나님이라 네 아비의 하나님이니 애굽으로 내려가기를 두려워 말라 내가 거기서 너로 큰 민족을 이루게 하리라 4내가 너와 함께 애굽으로 내려가겠고 정녕 너를 인도하여 다시 올라올 것이며 요셉이 그 손으로 네 눈을 감기리라 하셨더라 5야곱이 브엘세바에서 발행할새 이스라엘의 아들들이 바로의 태우려고 보낸 수레에 자기들의 아비 야곱과 자기들의 처자들을 태웠고 6그 생축과 가나안 땅에서 얻은 재물을 이끌었으며 야곱과 그 자손들이 다 함께 애굽으로 갔더라 7이와 같이 야곱이 그 아들들과 손자들과 딸들과 손녀들 곧 그 모든 자손을 데리고 애굽으로 갔더라 8애굽으로 내려간 이스라엘 가족의 이름이 이러하니 야곱과 그 아들들 곧 야곱의 맏아들 르우벤과 9르우벤의 아들 하녹과 발루와 헤스론과 갈미요 10시므온의 아들 곧 여무엘과 야민과 오핫과 야긴과 스할과 가나안 여인의 소생 사울이요 11레위의 아들 곧 게르손과 그핫과 므라리요 12유다의 아들 곧 엘과 오난과 셀라와 베레스와 세라니 엘과 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었고 또 베레스의 아들 곧 헤스론과 하물이요 13잇사갈의 아들 곧 돌라와 부와와 욥과 시므론이요 14스불론의 아들 곧 세렛과 엘론과 얄르엘이니 15이들은 레아가 밧단아람에서 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이라 그 딸 디나를 합하여 남자와 여자가 삼십삼 명이며 16갓의 아들 곧 시뵨과 학기와 수니와 에스본과 에리와 아로디와 아렐리요 17아셀의 아들 곧 임나와 이스와와 이스위와 브리아와 그들의 누이 세라며 또 브리아의 아들 곧 헤벨과 말기엘이니 18이들은 라반이 그 딸 레아에게 준 실바가 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이라 합 십육 명이요 19야곱의 아내 라헬의 아들 곧 요셉과 베냐민이요 20애굽 땅에서 온 제사장 보디베라의 딸 아스낫이 요셉에게 낳은 므낫세와 에브라임이요 21베냐민의 아들 곧 벨라와 베겔과 아스벨과 게라와 나아만과 에히와 로스와 뭅빔과 훕빔과 아릇이니 22이들은 라헬이 야곱에게 낳은 자손이라 합 십사 명이요 23단의 아들 후심이요 24납달리의 아들 곧 야스엘과 구니와 예셀과 실렘이라 25이들은 라반이 그 딸 라헬에게 준 빌하가 야곱에게 낳은 자손이니 합이 칠 명이라 26야곱과 함께 애굽에 이른 자는 야곱의 자부 외에 육십륙 명이니 이는 다 야곱의 몸에서 나온 자며 27애굽에서 요셉에게 낳은 아들이 두 명이니 야곱의 집 사람으로 애굽에 이른 자의 도합이 칠십 명이었더라 28야곱이 유다를 요셉에게 미리 보내어 자기를 고센으로 인도하게 하고 다 고센 땅에 이르니 29요셉이 수레를 갖추고 고센으로 올라가서 아비 이스라엘을 맞으며 그에게 보이고 그 목을 어긋맞겨 안고 얼마동안 울매 30이스라엘이 요셉에게 이르되 네가 지금까지 살아 있고 내가 네 얼굴을 보았으니 지금 죽어도 가하도다 31요셉이 그 형들과 아비의 권속에게 이르되 내가 올라가서 바로에게 고하여 이르기를 가나안 땅에 있던 내 형들과 내 아비의 권속이 내게로 왔는데 32그들은 목자라 목축으로 업을 삼으므로 그 양과 소와 모든 소유를 이끌고 왔나이다 하리니 33바로가 당신들을 불러서 너희의 업이 무엇이냐 묻거든 34당신들은 고하기를 주의 종들은 어렸을 때부터 지금까지 목축하는 자이온데 우리와 우리 선조가 다 그러하니이다 하소서 애굽 사람은 다 목축을 가증히 여기나니 당신들이 고센 땅에 거하게 되리이다

1Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac. 2God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.” 3He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation. 4I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph will close your eyes.” 5Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. 6They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his seed with him, 7his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his seed with him into Egypt. 8These are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn. 9The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. 10The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman. 11The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. 12The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul. 13The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron. 14The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel. 15These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty-three. 16The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli. 17The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and Serah their sister. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel. 18These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob, even sixteen souls. 19The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin. 20To Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him. 21The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard. 22These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen. 23The son of Dan: Hushim. 24The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem. 25These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob: all the souls were seven. 26All the souls who came with Jacob into Egypt, who were his direct descendants, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were sixty-six. 27The sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy. 28He sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen. 29Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while. 30Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.” 31Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father’s house, “I will go up, and speak with Pharaoh, and will tell him, ‘My brothers, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me. 32These men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.’ 33It will happen, when Pharaoh summons you, and will say, ‘What is your occupation?’ 34that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”

1En Israel verreisde met al wat hij had, en hij kwam te Ber-seba, en hij offerde offeranden aan den God van zijn vader Izak. 2En God sprak tot Israel in gezichten des nachts, en zeide: Jakob, Jakob! En hij zeide: Zie, hier ben ik! 3En Hij zeide: Ik ben die God, uws vaders God; vrees niet van af te trekken naar Egypte; want Ik zal u aldaar tot een groot volk zetten. 4Ik zal met u aftrekken naar Egypte en Ik zal u doen weder optrekken, mede optrekkende; en Jozef zal zijn hand op uw ogen leggen. 5Toen maakte zich Jakob op van Ber-seba; en de zonen van Israel voerden Jakob hun vader, en hun kinderen, en hun vrouwen, op de wagenen, die Farao gezonden had, om hem te voeren. 6En zij namen hun vee, en hun have, die zij in het land Kanaan geworven hadden, en zij kwamen in Egypte, Jakob en al zijn zaad met hem; 7Zijn zonen, en de zonen zijner zonen met hem; zijn dochteren, en zijner zonen dochteren, en al zijn zaad bracht hij met zich in Egypte. 8En dit zijn de namen der zonen van Israel, die in Egypte kwamen: Jakob en zijn zonen. De eerstgeborene van Jakob: Ruben. 9En de zonen van Ruben: Hanoch, en Pallu, en Hezron, en Karmi. 10En de zonen van Simeon: Jemuel, en Jamin, en Ohad, en Jachin, en Zoar, en Saul, de zoon ener Kanaanietische vrouw. 11En de zonen van Levi: Gerson, Kehath en Merari. 12En de zonen van Juda: Er, en Onan, en Sela, en Perez, en Zerah. Doch Er en Onan waren gestorven in het land van Kanaan; en de zonen van Perez waren Hezron en Hamul. 13En de zonen van Issaschar: Tola, en Puwa, en Job, en Simron. 14En de zonen van Zebulon: Sered, en Elon, en Jahleel. 15Dit zijn de zonen van Lea, die zij Jakob gebaard heeft in Paddan-Aram, met Dina zijn dochter; al de zielen zijner zonen en zijner dochteren waren drie en dertig. 16En de zonen van Gad: Zifjon en Haggi, Schuni en Ezbon, Eri en Arodi, en Areli. 17En de zonen van Aser: Jimna, en Jisva, en Jisvi, en Berija, en Sera, hun zuster; en de zonen van Berija: Heber en Malchiel. 18Dit zijn de zonen van Zilpa, die Laban aan zijn dochter Lea gegeven had; en zij baarde Jakob deze zestien zielen. 19De zonen van Rachel, Jakobs huisvrouw: Jozef en Benjamin. 20En Jozef werden geboren in Egypteland, Manasse en Efraim, die hem Asnath, de dochter van Potifera, den overste te On, baarde. 21En de zonen van Benjamin: Bela, Becher en Asbel, Gera en Naaman, Echi en Ros, Muppim en Huppim, en Ard. 22Dit zijn de zonen van Rachel, die Jakob geboren zijn, al te zamen veertien zielen. 23En de zonen van Dan: Chusim. 24En de zonen van Nafthali: Jahzeel, en Guni, en Jezer, en Sillem. 25Dit zijn de zonen van Bilha, die Laban aan zijn dochter Rachel gegeven had; en zij baarde dezelve Jakob, zij waren allen zeven zielen. 26Al de zielen, die met Jakob in Egypte kwamen, uit zijn heup gesproten, uitgenomen de vrouwen van de zonen van Jakob, waren allen zes en zestig zielen. 27En de zonen van Jozef, die hem in Egypte geboren zijn, waren twee zielen. Al de zielen van het huis van Jakob, die in Egypte kwamen, waren zeventig. 28En hij zond Juda voor zijn aangezicht heen tot Jozef, om voor zijn aangezicht aanwijzing te doen naar Gosen; en zij kwamen in het land Gosen. 29Toen spande Jozef zijn wagen aan, en toog op, zijn vader Israel tegemoet naar Gosen; en als hij zich aan hem vertoonde, zo viel hij hem aan zijn hals, en weende lang aan zijn hals. 30En Israel zeide tot Jozef: Dat ik nu sterve, nadat ik uw aangezicht gezien heb, dat gij nog leeft! 31Daarna zeide Jozef tot zijn broederen, en tot zijns vaders huis: Ik zal optrekken en Farao boodschappen, en tot hem zeggen: Mijn broeders en het huis mijns vaders, die in het land Kanaan waren, zijn tot mij gekomen. 32En die mannen zijn schaapherders; want het zijn mannen, die met vee omgaan; en zij hebben hun schapen, en hun runderen, en al wat zij hebben, medegebracht. 33Wanneer het nu geschieden zal, dat Farao ulieden zal roepen, en zeggen: Wat is uw hantering? 34Zo zult gij zeggen: Uw knechten zijn mannen, die van onze jeugd af tot nu toe met vee omgegaan hebben, zo wij als onze vaders; opdat gij in het land Gosen moogt wonen; want alle schaapherder is de Egyptenaren een gruwel.
