1이스라엘 왕 여로보암 이십칠년에 유다 왕 아마샤의 아들 아사랴가 왕이 되니 2위에 나아갈 때에 나이 십육 세라 예루살렘에서 오십이 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여골리야라 예루살렘 사람이더라 3아사랴가 그 부친 아마샤의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 4오직 산당은 제하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 오히려 그 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였고 5여호와께서 왕을 치셨으므로 그 죽는 날까지 문둥이가 되어 별궁에 거하고 왕자 요담이 궁중 일을 다스리며 국민을 치리하였더라 6아사랴의 남은 사적과 모든 행한 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 7아사랴가 그 열조와 함께 자매 다윗 성에 그 열조와 함께 장사되고 그 아들 요담이 대신하여 왕이 되니라 8유다 왕 아사랴의 삼십팔년에 여로보암의 아들 스가랴가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 여섯 달을 치리하며 9그 열조의 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니한지라 10야베스의 아들 살룸이 저를 모반하여 백성 앞에서 쳐 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되니라 11스가랴의 남은 사적은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라 12여호와께서 예후에게 말씀하여 이르시기를 네 자손이 이스라엘 위를 이어 사 대까지 이르리라 하신 그 말씀대로 과연 그렇게 되니라 13유다 왕 웃시야 삼십구 년에 야베스의 아들 살룸이 사마리아에서 왕이 되어 한 달을 치리하니라 14가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서부터 사마리아로 올라가서 야베스의 아들 살룸을 거기서 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되니라 15살룸의 남은 사적과 그 모반한 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라 16그 때에 므나헴이 디르사에서 와서 딥사와 그 가운데 있는 모든 사람과 그 사방을 쳤으니 이는 저희가 성문을 열지 아니하였음이라 그러므로 치고 그 가운데 아이 밴 부녀를 갈랐더라 17유다 왕 아사랴 삼십구 년에 가디의 아들 므나헴이 이스라엘 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 십 년을 치리하며 18여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 평생 떠나지 아니하였더라 19앗수르 왕 불이 와서 그 땅을 치려 하매 므나헴이 은 일천 달란트를 불에게 주어서 저로 자기를 도와주게 함으로 나라를 자기 손에 굳게 세우고자 하여 20그 은을 이스라엘 모든 큰 부자에게서 토색하여 각 사람에게 은 오십 세겔씩 내게 하여 앗수르 왕에게 주었더니 이에 앗수르 왕이 돌이키고 그 땅에 머물지 아니하였더라 21므나헴의 남은 사적과 그 모든 행한 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 22므나헴이 그 열조와 함께 자고 그 아들 브가히야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라 23유다 왕 아사랴 오십년에 므나헴의 아들 브가히야가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 이 년을 치리하며 24여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니한지라 25그 장관 르말랴의 아들 베가가 반역하여 사마리아 왕궁 호위소에서 왕과 아르곱과 아리에를 죽이되 길르앗 사람 오십 명으로 더불어 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되었더라 26브가히야의 남은 사적과 그 모든 행한 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라 27유다 왕 아사랴 오십이 년에 르말랴의 아들 베가가 이스라엘 왕이 되어 사마리아에서 이십 년을 치리하며 28여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 아니하였더라 29이스라엘 왕 베가 때에 앗수르 왕 디글랏 빌레셀이 와서 이욘과 아벨벳 마아가와 야노아와 게데스와 하솔과 길르앗과 갈릴리와 납달리 온 땅을 취하고 그 백성을 사로잡아 앗수르로 옮겼더라 30웃시야의 아들 요담 이십 년에 엘라의 아들 호세아가 반역하여 르말랴의 아들 베가를 쳐서 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되니라 31베가의 남은 사적과 그 모든 행한 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라 32이스라엘 왕 르말랴의 아들 베가 이년에 유다 왕 웃시야의 아들 요담이 왕이 되니 33위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 십육 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여루사라 사독의 딸이더라 34요담이 그 부친 웃시야의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 35오직 산당을 제하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 오히려 그 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라 요담이 여호와의 전의 윗문을 건축하니라 36요담의 남은 사적과 그 모든 행한 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 37그 때에 여호와께서 비로소 아람 왕 르신과 르말랴의 아들 베가를 보내어 유다를 치게 하셨더라 38요담이 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 조상 다윗 성에 열조와 함께 장사되고 그 아들 아하스가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

1In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign. 2Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. 3He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. 4However the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places. 5Yahweh struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Jotham the king’s son was over the household, judging the people of the land. 6Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 7Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his place. 8In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months. 9He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as his fathers had done: he didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. 10Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and struck him before the people, and killed him, and reigned in his place. 11Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. 12This was Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying, “Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass. 13Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned for a month in Samaria. 14Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him, and reigned in his place. 15Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. 16Then Menahem struck Tiphsah, and all who were therein, and its borders, from Tirzah: because they didn’t open to him, therefore he struck it; and all the women therein who were with child he ripped up. 17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria. 18He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh: he didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. 19There came against the land Pul the king of Assyria; and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand. 20Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and didn’t stay there in the land. 21Now the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 22Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his place. 23In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria for two years. 24He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh: he didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. 25Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him, and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his place. 26Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. 27In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria for twenty years. 28He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh: he didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. 29In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel Beth Maacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria. 30Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him, and killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah. 31Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. 32In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign. 33He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok. 34He did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done. 35However the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the upper gate of Yahweh’s house. 36Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 37In those days Yahweh began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah. 38Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.

1In het zeven en twintigste jaar van Jerobeam, den koning van Israel, werd koning Azaria, de zoon van Amazia, den koning van Juda. 2Hij was zestien jaren oud, toen hij koning werd, en hij regeerde twee en vijftig jaren te Jeruzalem; en de naam zijner moeder was Jecholia, van Jeruzalem. 3En hij deed dat recht was in de ogen des HEEREN, naar al wat zijn vader Amazia gedaan had. 4Alleenlijk werden de hoogten niet weggenomen; het volk offerde en rookte nog op de hoogten. 5En de HEERE plaagde den koning, dat hij melaats werd tot den dag zijns doods; en hij woonde in een afgezonderd huis; doch Jotham, de zoon des konings, was over het huis, richtende het volk des lands. 6Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Azaria, en al wat hij gedaan heeft, zijn die niet geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Juda? 7En Azaria ontsliep met zijn vaderen, en zij begroeven hem bij zijn vaderen, in de stad Davids; en zijn zoon Jotham werd koning in zijn plaats. 8In het acht en dertigste jaar van Azaria, den koning van Juda, regeerde Zacharia, de zoon van Jerobeam, over Israel te Samaria, zes maanden. 9En hij deed dat kwaad was in de ogen des HEEREN, gelijk als zijn vaderen gedaan hadden; hij week niet af van de zonden van Jerobeam, den zoon van Nebat, die Israel zondigen deed. 10En Sallum, de zoon van Jabes, maakte een verbintenis tegen hem, en sloeg hem voor het volk, en doodde hem; en hij werd koning in zijn plaats. 11Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Zacharia, ziet, dat is geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Israel. 12Dit was het woord des HEEREN, dat Hij gesproken had tot Jehu, zeggende: U zullen zonen van het vierde gelid op den troon van Israel zitten; en het is alzo geschied. 13Sallum, de zoon van Jabes, werd koning, in het negen en dertigste jaar van Uzzia, den koning van Juda; en hij regeerde een volle maand te Samaria. 14Want Menahem, de zoon van Gadi, toog op van Thirza, en kwam te Samaria, en sloeg Sallum, den zoon van Jabes, te Samaria, en doodde hem, en werd koning in zijn plaats. 15Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Sallum, en zijn verbintenis, die hij maakte, ziet, die zijn geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Israel. 16Toen sloeg Menahem Tifsah, met allen, die daarin waren, ook haar landpalen van Thirza af; omdat men niet voor hem had opengedaan, zo sloeg hij hen; al haar bevruchte vrouwen hieuw hij in stukken. 17In het negen en dertigste jaar van Azaria, den koning van Juda, werd Menahem, den zoon van Gadi, koning over Israel, en regeerde tien jaren te Samaria. 18En hij deed dat kwaad was in de ogen des HEEREN; hij week al zijn dagen niet af van de zonden van Jerobeam, den zoon van Nebat, die Israel zondigen deed. 19Toen kwam Pul, de koning van Assyrie, tegen het land; en Menahem gaf aan Pul duizend talenten zilvers, opdat zijn hand met hem zoude zijn, om het koninkrijk in zijn hand te sterken. 20Menahem nu bracht dit geld op van Israel, van alle geweldigen van vermogen, om den koning van Assyrie te geven, voor elk man vijftig zilveren sikkels; alzo keerde de koning van Assyrie weder, en bleef daar niet in het land. 21Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Menahem, en al wat hij gedaan heeft, is dat niet geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Israel? 22Daarna ontsliep Menahem met zijn vaderen; en zijn zoon Pekahia werd koning in zijn plaats. 23In het vijftigste jaar van Azaria, den koning van Juda, werd Pekahia, de zoon van Menahem, koning over Israel, en regeerde twee jaren te Samaria. 24En hij deed dat kwaad was in de ogen des HEEREN; hij week niet af van de zonden van Jerobeam, den zoon van Nebat, die Israel zondigen deed. 25En Pekah, de zoon van Remalia, zijn hoofdman, maakte een verbintenis tegen hem, en sloeg hem te Samaria, in het paleis van het huis des konings, met Argob en met Arje, en met hem vijftig mannen van de kinderen der Gileadieten; alzo doodde hij hem, en werd koning in zijn plaats. 26Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Pekahia, en al wat hij gedaan heeft, ziet, dat is geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Israel. 27In het twee en vijftigste jaar van Azaria, den koning van Juda, werd Pekah, de zoon van Remalia, koning over Israel, en regeerde twintig jaren te Samaria. 28En hij deed dat kwaad was in de ogen des HEEREN; hij week niet af van de zonden van Jerobeam, den zoon van Nebat, die Israel zondigen deed. 29In de dagen Pekah, den koning van Israel, kwam Tiglath-Pilezer, de koning van Assyrie, en nam Ijon in, en Abel-Beth-maacha, en Janoah, en Kedes, en Hazor, en Gilead, en Galilea, het ganse land van Nafthali; en hij voerde hen weg naar Assyrie. 30En Hosea, de zoon van Ela, maakte een verbintenis tegen Pekah, den zoon van Remalia, en sloeg hem, en doodde hem, en werd koning in zijn plaats; in het twintigste jaar van Jotham, den zoon van Uzzia. 31Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Pekah, en al wat hij gedaan heeft, ziet, dat is geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Israel. 32In het tweede jaar van Pekah, den zoon van Remalia, den koning van Israel, werd Jotham koning, de zoon van Uzzia, den koning van Juda. 33Vijf en twintig jaren was hij oud, als hij koning werd, en regeerde zestien jaren te Jeruzalem; en de naam zijner moeder was Jerusa, de dochter van Zadok. 34En hij deed dat recht was in de ogen des HEEREN; naar alles, wat zijn vader Uzzia gedaan had, deed hij. 35Alleenlijk werden de hoogten niet weggenomen; het volk offerde en rookte nog op de hoogten; dezelve bouwde de hoge poort aan het huis des HEEREN. 36Het overige nu der geschiedenissen van Jotham, en al wat hij gedaan heeft, is dat niet geschreven in het boek der kronieken der koningen van Juda? 37In die dagen begon de HEERE in Juda te zenden Rezin, den koning van Syrie, en Pekah, den zoon van Remalia. 38En Jotham ontsliep met zijn vaderen, en werd begraven bij zijn vaderen in de stad van zijn vader David; en zijn zoon Achaz werd koning in zijn plaats.
