1Vi raccomando Febe, nostra sorella, che è diaconessa della chiesa di Cencrea, 2perché la riceviate nel Signore, in modo degno dei santi, e le prestiate assistenza, in qualunque cosa ella possa aver bisogno di voi; poiché ella pure ha prestato assistenza a molti e anche a me stesso. 3Salutate Prisca ed Aquila, miei compagni d’opera in Cristo Gesù, 4i quali per la vita mia hanno esposto il loro proprio collo; ai quali non io solo ma anche tutte le chiese dei Gentili rendono grazie. 5Salutate anche la chiesa che è in casa loro. Salutate il mio caro Epeneto, che è la primizia dell’Asia per Cristo. 6Salutate Maria, che si è molto affaticata per voi. 7Salutate Andronico e Giunio, miei parenti e compagni di prigione, i quali sono segnalati fra gli apostoli, e anche sono stati in Cristo prima di me. 8Salutate Ampliato, il mio diletto nel Signore. 9Salutate Urbano, nostro compagno d’opera in Cristo, e il mio caro Stachi. 10Salutate Apelle, che ha fatto le sue prove in Cristo. Salutate que’ di casa di Aristobulo. 11Salutate Erodione, mio parente. Salutate que’ di casa di Narcisso che sono nel Signore. 12Salutate Trifena e Trifosa, che si affaticano nel Signore. Salutate la cara Perside che si è molto affaticata nel Signore. 13Salutate Rufo, l’eletto nel Signore, e sua madre, che è pur mia. 14Salutate Asincrito, Flegonte, Erme, Patroba, Erma, e i fratelli che son con loro. 15Salutate Filologo e Giulia, Nereo e sua sorella, e Olimpia, e tutti i santi che son con loro. 16Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio. Tutte le chiese di Cristo vi salutano. 17Or io v’esorto, fratelli, tenete d’occhio quelli che fomentano le dissensioni e gli scandali contro l’insegnamento che avete ricevuto, e ritiratevi da loro. 18Poiché quei tali non servono al nostro Signor Gesù Cristo, ma al proprio ventre; e con dolce e lusinghiero parlare seducono il cuore de’ semplici. 19Quanto a voi, la vostra ubbidienza è giunta a conoscenza di tutti. Io dunque mi rallegro per voi, ma desidero che siate savi nel bene e semplici per quel che concerne il male. 20E l’Iddio della pace triterà tosto Satana sotto ai vostri piedi. La grazia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo sia con voi. 21Timoteo, mio compagno d’opera, vi saluta, e vi salutano pure Lucio, Giasone e Sosipatro, miei parenti. 22Io, Terzio, che ho scritto l’epistola, vi saluto nel Signore. 23Gaio, che ospita me e tutta la chiesa, vi saluta. Erasto, il tesoriere della città, e il fratello Quarto vi salutano. 24La grazia del nostro Signor Gesù Cristo sia con tutti voi. Amen. 25Or a Colui che vi può fortificare secondo il mio Evangelo e la predicazione di Gesù Cristo, conformemente alla rivelazione del mistero che fu tenuto occulto fin dai tempi più remoti 26ma è ora manifestato, e, mediante le Scritture profetiche, secondo l’ordine dell’eterno Iddio, è fatto conoscere a tutte le nazioni per addurle all’ubbidienza della fede, 27a Dio solo savio, per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, sia la gloria nei secoli dei secoli. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus. 11Greet Herodion, my kinsman. Greet them of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. 12Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, who labor in the Lord. Greet Persis, the beloved, who labored much in the Lord. 13Greet Rufus, the chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. 14Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers who are with them. 15Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them. 16Greet one another with a holy kiss. The assemblies of Christ greet you. 17Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. 18For those who are such don’t serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent. 19For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil. 20And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 21Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you, as do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my relatives. 22I, Tertius, who write the letter, greet you in the Lord. 23Gaius, my host and host of the whole assembly, greets you. Groet Persis, de beminde zuster, die veel gearbeid heeft in den Heere. 13Groet Rufus, den uitverkorene in den Heere, en zijn moeder en de mijne. 14Groet Asynkritus, Flegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, en de broeders, die met hen zijn. 15Groet Filologus en Julia, Nereus en zijn zuster, en Olympas, en al de heiligen, die met henlieden zijn. 16Groet elkander met een heiligen kus. De Gemeenten van Christus groeten ulieden. 17En ik bid u, broeders, neemt acht op degenen, die tweedracht en ergernissen aanrichten tegen de leer, die gij van ons geleerd hebt; en wijkt af van dezelve. 18Want dezulken dienen onzen Heere Jezus Christus niet, maar hun buik; en verleiden door schoonspreken en prijzen de harten der eenvoudigen. 19Want uw gehoorzaamheid is tot kennis van allen gekomen. Ik verblijde mij dan uwenthalve; en ik wil, dat gij wijs zijt in het goede, doch onnozel in het kwade. 20En de God des vredes zal den satan haast onder uw voeten verpletteren. De genade van onzen Heere Jezus Christus zij met ulieden. Amen. 21U groeten, Timotheus, mijn medearbeider, en Lucius, en Jason, en Socipater, mijn bloedverwanten. 22Ik, Tertius, die den brief geschreven heb, groet u in den Heere. 23U groet Gajus, de huiswaard van mij en van de gehele Gemeente. U groet Erastus, de rentmeester der stad, en de broeder Quartus. 24De genade van onzen Heere Jezus Christus zij met u allen. Amen. 25Hem nu, Die machtig is u te bevestigen, naar mijn Evangelie en de prediking van Jezus Christus, naar de openbaring der verborgenheid, die van de tijden der eeuwen verzwegen is geweest; 26Maar nu geopenbaard is, en door de profetische Schriften, naar het bevel des eeuwigen Gods, tot gehoorzaamheid des geloofs, onder al de heidenen bekend is gemaakt; 27Den zelven alleen wijzen God zij door Jezus Christus de heerlijkheid in der eeuwigheid.
