Προς Κορινθίους Α' 6

1Τολμά τις από σας, όταν έχη διαφοράν προς τον άλλον, να κρίνηται ενώπιον των αδίκων και ουχί ενώπιον των αγίων; 2Δεν εξεύρετε ότι οι άγιοι θέλουσι κρίνει τον κόσμον; και εάν ο κόσμος κρίνηται από σας, ανάξιοι είσθε να κρίνητε ελάχιστα πράγματα; 3Δεν εξεύρετε ότι αγγέλους θέλομεν κρίνει; πόσω μάλλον βιωτικά; 4Βιωτικάς λοιπόν κρίσεις εάν έχητε, τους εξουθενημένους εν τη εκκλησία τούτους καθίζετε κριτάς. 5Προς εντροπήν σας λέγω τούτο. Ούτω δεν υπάρχει μεταξύ σας ουδέ εις σοφός, όστις θέλει δυνηθή να κρίνη ανά μέσον του αδελφού αυτού, 6αλλά αδελφός κρίνεται με αδελφόν, και τούτο ενώπιον απίστων; 7Τώρα λοιπόν είναι διόλου ελάττωμα εις εσάς ότι έχετε κρίσεις μεταξύ σας. Διά τι μάλλον δεν αδικείσθε; διά τι μάλλον δεν αποστερείσθε; 8Αλλά σεις αδικείτε και αποστερείτε, και μάλιστα αδελφούς. 9Η δεν εξεύρετε ότι οι άδικοι δεν θέλουσι κληρονομήσει την βασιλείαν του Θεού; Μη πλανάσθε· ούτε πόρνοι ούτε ειδωλολάτραι ούτε μοιχοί ούτε μαλακοί ούτε αρσενοκοίται 10ούτε κλέπται ούτε πλεονέκται ούτε μέθυσοι ούτε λοίδοροι ούτε άρπαγες θέλουσι κληρονομήσει την βασιλείαν του Θεού. 11Και τοιούτοι υπήρχετέ τινες· αλλά απελούσθητε, αλλά ηγιάσθητε, αλλ' εδικαιώθητε διά του ονόματος του Κυρίου Ιησού και διά του Πνεύματος του Θεού ημών. 12Πάντα είναι εις την εξουσίαν μου, πλην πάντα δεν συμφέρουσι· πάντα είναι εις την εξουσίαν μου, αλλ' εγώ δεν θέλω εξουσιασθή υπ' ουδενός. 13Τα φαγητά είναι διά την κοιλίαν και η κοιλία διά τα φαγητά· πλην ο Θεός και ταύτην και ταύτα θέλει καταργήσει· το δε σώμα δεν είναι διά την πορνείαν, αλλά διά τον Κύριον, και ο Κύριος διά το σώμα· 14ο δε Θεός και τον Κύριον ανέστησε και ημάς θέλει αναστήσει διά της δυνάμεως αυτού. 15Δεν εξεύρετε ότι τα σώματά σας είναι μέλη του Χριστού; να λάβω λοιπόν τα μέλη του Χριστού και να κάμω αυτά μέλη πόρνης; Μη γένοιτο. 16Η δεν εξεύρετε ότι ο προσκολλώμενος με την πόρνην είναι εν σώμα; διότι θέλουσιν είσθαι, λέγει, οι δύο εις σάρκα μίαν· 17όστις όμως προσκολλάται με τον Κύριον είναι εν πνεύμα. 18Φεύγετε την πορνείαν. Παν αμάρτημα, το οποίον ήθελε πράξει ο άνθρωπος, είναι εκτός του σώματος· ο πορνεύων όμως αμαρτάνει εις το ίδιον αυτού σώμα. 19Η δεν εξεύρετε ότι το σώμα σας είναι ναός του Αγίου Πνεύματος του εν υμίν, το οποίον έχετε από Θεού, και δεν είσθε κύριοι εαυτών; 20Διότι ηγοράσθητε διά τιμής· δοξάσατε λοιπόν τον Θεόν διά του σώματός σας και διά του πνεύματός σας, τα οποία είναι του Θεού.

1Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly? 5I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers? 6But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers! 7Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? 8No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers. 9Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God. 12“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything. 13“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power. 15Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! 16Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two”, he says, “will become one flesh.” 17But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 18Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, 20for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1Durft iemand van ulieden, die een zaak heeft tegen een ander, te recht gaan voor de onrechtvaardigen, en niet voor de heiligen? 2Weet gij niet, dat de heiligen de wereld oordelen zullen? En indien door u de wereld geoordeeld wordt, zijt gij onwaardig de minste gerechtzaken? 3Weet gij niet, dat wij de engelen oordelen zullen? Hoeveel te meer de zaken, die dit leven aangaan? 4Zo gij dan gerechtzaken hebt, die dit leven aangaan, zet die daarover, die in de Gemeente minst geacht zijn. 5Ik zeg u dit tot schaamte. Is er dan alzo onder u geen, die wijs is, ook niet een, die zou kunnen oordelen tussen zijn broeders? 6Maar de ene broeder gaat met den anderen broeder te recht, en dat voor ongelovigen. 7Zo is er dan nu ganselijk gebrek onder u, dat gij met elkander rechtzaken hebt. Waarom lijdt gij niet liever ongelijk? Waarom lijdt gij niet liever schade? 8Maar gijlieden doet ongelijk, en doet schade, en dat den broederen. 9Of weet gij niet, dat de onrechtvaardigen het Koninkrijk Gods niet zullen beerven? 10Dwaalt niet; noch hoereerders, noch afgodendienaars, noch overspelers, noch ontuchtigen, noch die bij mannen liggen, noch dieven, noch gierigaards, noch dronkaards, geen lasteraars, geen rovers zullen het Koninkrijk Gods beerven. 11En dit waart gij sommigen; maar gij zijt afgewassen, maar gij zijt geheiligd, maar gij zijt gerechtvaardigd, in den Naam van den Heere Jezus, en door den Geest onzes Gods; 12Alle dingen zijn mij geoorloofd, maar alle dingen zijn niet oorbaar; alle dingen zijn mij geoorloofd, maar ik zal onder de macht van geen mij laten brengen. 13De spijzen zijn voor de buik, en de buik is voor de spijzen; maar God zal beide dezen en die te niet doen. Doch het lichaam is niet voor de hoererij, maar voor den Heere en de Heere voor het lichaam. 14En God heeft ook den Heere opgewekt, en zal ons opwekken door Zijn kracht. 15Weet gij niet, dat uw lichamen leden van Christus zijn? Zal ik dan de leden van Christus nemen, en maken ze leden ener hoer? Dat zij verre. 16Of weet gij niet, dat die de hoer aanhangt, een lichaam met haar is? Want die twee, zegt Hij, zullen tot een vlees wezen. 17Maar die den Heere aanhangt, is een geest met Hem. 18Vliedt de hoererij. Alle zonde, die de mens doet, is buiten het lichaam, maar die hoererij bedrijft, zondigt tegen zijn eigen lichaam. 19Of weet gij niet, dat ulieder lichaam een tempel is van den Heiligen Geest, Die in u is, Dien gij van God hebt, en dat gij uws zelfs niet zijt? 20Want gij zijt duur gekocht: zo verheerlijkt dan God in uw lichaam en in uw geest, welke Godes zijn.
