Захарія 2

1І споглянув я знов і бачу: ось чоловік, і мав в руці міряльного шнура. 2Я спитав: Куди ти йдеш? а він сказав менї: Розміряти Ерусалим, щоб знати, який він завширшки й який завдовжки. 3Аж ось виступив ангел, що розмовляв ізо мною, другий же ангел вийшов вустрїч йому. 4І сказав той до його: Біжи й скажи сьому молодикові так: Одкрито стояти ме Ерусалим через множество людей і скоту в ньому. 5І сам я, говорить Господь, буду йому поломяним муром, і прославлю себе посеред його. 6Гей, гей! утікайте ж із півночньої вемлї, говорить Господь: Я бо вас порозвівав, нїби на всї чотири вітри, говорить Господь. 7Утїкай, Сионе, ти, що пробуваєш у дочки Вавилонської. 8Так бо говорить Господь сил небесних: Задля слави послав мене він до народів, що вас обдерали; хто бо торкається до вас, торкається об зїницю ока мого. 9І ось, я підніму на них руку мою, й стануть вони здобиччю невольникам своїм, і зрозумїєте, що се Господь сил небесних послав мене. 10Викликуй же радісно й веселись, дочко Сионова! ось бо, я прийду й осядусь посеред тебе, говорить Господь. 11І прийдуть тодї многі народи до Господа, й будуть моїм народом; і я оселюсь посеред тебе, й зрозумієш, що мене послав до тебе Господь сил небесних. 12І посяде Господь Юду, як своє наслїдде на сьвятій землї, й вибере собі знов Ерусалим. 13Умовкни ж, усяке тіло, перед Господом! він бо підіймається з сьвятого пробутку свого.

1I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2Then I asked, “Where are you going?” He said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.” 3Behold, the angel who talked with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him, 4and said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. 5For I,’ says Yahweh, ‘will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the midst of her. 6Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,’ says Yahweh; ‘for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says Yahweh. 7‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.’ 8For thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye. 9For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they will be a plunder to those who served them; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me. 10Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in your midst,’ says Yahweh. 11Many nations shall join themselves to Yahweh in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. 12Yahweh will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem. 13Be silent, all flesh, before Yahweh; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!”

1Wederom hief ik mijn ogen op, en ik zag; en ziet, er was een man, en in zijn hand was een meetsnoer. 2En ik zeide: Waar gaat gij henen? En hij zeide tot mij: Om Jeruzalem te meten; om te zien, hoe groot haar breedte, en hoe groot haar lengte wezen zal. 3En ziet, de Engel, Die met mij sprak, ging uit; en een andere Engel ging uit, hem tegemoet. 4En hij zeide tot hem: Loop, spreek dezen jongeling aan, zeggende: Jeruzalem zal dorpsgewijze bewoond worden, vanwege de veelheid der mensen en der beesten, die in het midden derzelve wezen zal. 5En Ik zal haar wezen, spreekt de HEERE, een vurige muur rondom; en Ik zal tot heerlijkheid wezen in het midden van haar. 6Hui, hui, vliedt toch uit het Noorderland, spreekt de HEERE; want Ik heb ulieden uitgebreid naar de vier winden des hemels, spreekt de HEERE. 7Hui, Sion! ontkomt gij, die woont bij de dochter van Babel! 8Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Naar de heerlijkheid over u, heeft Hij mij gezonden tot die heidenen, die ulieden beroofd hebben; want die ulieden aanraakt, die raakt Zijn oogappel aan. 9Want ziet, Ik zal Mijn hand over henlieden bewegen, en zij zullen hunnen knechten een roof wezen. Alzo zult gijlieden weten, dat de HEERE der heirscharen mij gezonden heeft. 10Juich en verblijd u, gij dochter Sions; want zie, Ik kom, en Ik zal in het midden van u wonen, spreekt de HEERE. 11En vele heidenen zullen te dien dage den HEERE toegevoegd worden, en zij zullen Mij tot een volk wezen; en Ik zal in het midden van u wonen; en gij zult weten, dat de HEERE der heirscharen mij tot u gezonden heeft. 12Dan zal de HEERE Juda erven voor Zijn deel, in het heilige land, en Hij zal Jeruzalem nog verkiezen. 13Zwijg, alle vlees, voor het aangezicht des HEEREN! want Hij is ontwaakt uit Zijn heilige woning.
