1Не розносити меш пустої чутки; не покладати меш руки своєї з беззаконником, щоб сьвідкувати насильство. 2Не ходити меш слїдом за многими ради ледарства, і не відказувати меш на судї, намагаючись за купою відхилити правду. 3І вбогого не закрашувати меш у позиванню його. 4Коли спіткаєш вола ворога твого, чи осла його, що блукає, мусиш його вернути йому. 5Коли побачиш осла ненавидника твого, що лежить під своїм тягарем, остерегайсь покинути його з ним; розсїдлай його з ним. 6Не кривити меш правди убогому на судї його. 7Удержуйся від льживого слова; нї безвинного, нї праведного не вбивай; я бо не оправдаю беззаконника. 8І дарунків не брати меш; дарунок бо заслїплює видющих і перевертає слова справедливих. 9І чуженицю не тїснити меш; ви самі знаєте, як на душі в чуженицї: були бо чуженицями в Египецькій землї. 10І засївати меш шість років землю твою, і збирати меш уроджай її; 11На семий же мусиш покинути її на толоку і даси полежати, щоб харчитись убогим ізміж людей твоїх, а що вони покинуть, нехай поїдає животина польова. Так само чинити меш і з виноградником твоїм, і з оливною деревиною твоєю. 12Шість день робити меш дїло твоє, семого ж дня відпочинеш, щоб оддихав і віл твій і осел твій, і щоб оддихнули на волї син рабинї твоєї і чужинець. 13А в усьому, що я глаголав вам, бувайте обачні; ба й імям богів чужих не згадуйте, нехай не чути муть його з ваших уст. 14Тричі сьвяткувати мете менї що року. 15Допильновувати меш опрісношнього сьвята. Сїм день їсти меш прісний хлїб, як я заповідав тобі, в призначений час, у місяцї Абибі; бо в цьому місяцї вийшов єси з Египту. І нїхто не мусить показуватись перед лице моє з порожнїми руками. 16І сьвято жнивне, первоплоду працї твоєї, того, що сіяти меш в полї; і сьвято збору, під кінець року, як збираєш те, коло чого працював у полї. 17Тричі що року мусить показуватись увесь музький пол твій перед Господа Бога твого. 18Не приносити меш з квашеним хлїбом кров жертви моєї; і не зоставати меться жир сьвята мого до ранку. 19Первоплід із землї твоєї мусиш приносити в дом Господа, Бога твого. Не варити меш козеняти в молоцї матері його. 20Се я посилаю мого ангела перед тобою, щоб оберегав тебе в дорозї і привів тебе до того міста, що наготовив я про тебе. 21Остерегайся лиця його й слухай голосу його, не становись опором проти його; не стерпить бо він ваших переступів; бо на йому імя моє. 22Коли ж слухати меш голосу його й чинити меш усе, що я глаголю, тодї буду ворогом ворогам твоїм і сопротивлюся сопротивникам твоїм. 23Ійти ме бо ангел мій поперед тебе і приведе тебе до Аморіїв і Гетіїв і Фересіїв і Канааніїв і Гевіїв і Євусіїв; і повикорінюю їх. 24Не бити меш поклони богам їх і не служити меш їм, і не ходити меш робом їх, нї; до на щаду руйнувати меш їх і розбивати меш стовпи їх. 25А служити мете ви Господеві, Богу вашому, і благословляти ме хлїб твій й воду твою, і видалю я недугу зміж вас; 26Не скидати муть у вас і не буде безплодних в землї твоій; і лїчбу днїв твоїх виповню. 27Страх мій пошлю поперед тебе, і залякаю всї народи, куди прийдеш, і поверну всї вороги твої потилицею до тебе. 28І пошлю рога поперед тебе, і повиганяють вони Гевіїв, Канааніїв, і Гетіїв зперед тебе. 29Не за один рік їх повиганяю зперед тебе, щоб не спустїла земля та не намножилось у нїй животини польової. 30Спокволя виганяти му їх зперед тебе, докіль осядешся ти да внаслїдуєш землю. 31І поставлю гряницї твої від Червоного моря та й до моря Филистимського, і від пустинї до Ефрату, бо віддам в руки твої людей землї, щоб прогнав їх зперед тебе. 32Не чинити меш умови з ними й з богами їх. 33Нехай не живуть вони в землї твоїй, щоб не доводили тебе до гріха; бо ти служив би богам їх, бо се було б для тебе сїткою.

1“You shall not spread a false report. Don’t join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness. 2“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; neither shall you testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice; 3neither shall you favor a poor man in his cause. 4“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. 5If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don’t leave him, you shall surely help him with it. 6“You shall not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits. 7“Keep far from a false charge, and don’t kill the innocent and righteous: for I will not justify the wicked. 8“You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous. 9“You shall not oppress an alien, for you know the heart of an alien, since you were aliens in the land of Egypt. 10“For six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in its increase, 11but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the animal of the field shall eat. In the same way, you shall deal with your vineyard and with your olive grove. 12“Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the alien may be refreshed. 13“Be careful to do all things that I have said to you; and don’t invoke the name of other gods, neither let them be heard out of your mouth. 14“You shall observe a feast to me three times a year. 15You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out of Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty. 16And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field; and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field. 17Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh. 18“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread, neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning. 19The first of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk. 20“Behold, I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 21Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don’t provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him. 22But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries. 23For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off. 24You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor follow their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them and demolish their pillars. 25You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from your midst. 26No one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your days. 27I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. 28I will send the hornet before you, which will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you. 29I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the animals of the field multiply against you. 30Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and inherit the land. 31I will set your border from the Red Sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. 32You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. 33They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me, for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”

1Gij zult geen vals gerucht opnemen; en stelt uw hand niet bij den goddeloze, om een getuige tot geweld te zijn. 2Gij zult de menigte tot boze zaken niet volgen; en gij zult niet spreken in een twistige zaak, dat gij u neigt naar de menigte, om het recht te buigen. 3Ook zult gij den geringe niet voortrekken en zijn twistige zaak. 4Wanneer gij uw vijands os, of zijn dwalenden ezel, ontmoet, gij zult hem denzelven ganselijk wederbrengen. 5Wanneer gij uws haters ezel onder zijn last ziet liggen, zult gij dan nalatig zijn, om het uwe te verlaten voor hem? Gij zult het in alle manier met hem verlaten. 6Gij zult het recht uws armen niet buigen in zijn twistige zaak. 7Zijt verre van valse zaken; en den onschuldige en gerechtige zult gij niet doden; want Ik zal de goddeloze niet rechtvaardigen. 8Ook zult gij geen geschenk nemen; want het geschenk verblindt de zienden, en het verkeert de zaak der rechtvaardigen. 9Gij zult ook den vreemdeling niet onderdrukken; want gij kent het gemoed des vreemdelings, dewijl gij vreemdelingen geweest zijt in Egypteland. 10Gij zult ook zes jaar uw land bezaaien, en deszelfs inkomst verzamelen; 11Maar in het zevende zult gij het rusten en stil liggen laten, dat de armen uws volks mogen eten, en het overige daarvan de beesten des velds eten mogen; alzo zult gij ook doen met uw wijngaard, en met uw olijfbomen. 12Zes dagen zult gij uw werken doen; maar op den zevenden dag zult gij rusten; opdat uw os en uw ezel ruste, en dat de zoon uwer dienstmaagd en de vreemdeling adem scheppe. 13In alles, wat Ik tot ulieden gezegd heb, zult gij op uw hoede zijn; en den naam van andere goden zult gij niet gedenken; uit uw mond zal hij niet gehoord worden! 14Drie reizen in het jaar zult gij Mij feest houden. 15Het feest van de ongezuurde broden zult gij houden; zeven dagen zult gij ongezuurde broden eten (gelijk Ik u geboden heb), ter bestemder tijd in de maand Abib, want in dezelve zijt gij uit Egypte getogen; doch men zal niet ledig voor Mijn aangezicht verschijnen. 16En het feest des oogstes, der eerste vruchten van uw arbeid, die gij op het veld gezaaid zult hebben. En het feest der inzameling, op den uitgang des jaars, wanneer gij uw arbeid uit het veld zult ingezameld hebben. 17Drie malen des jaars zullen al uw mannen voor het aangezicht des Heeren HEEREN verschijnen. 18Gij zult het bloed Mijns offers met geen gedesemde broden offeren; ook zal het vette Mijns feestes tot op den morgen niet vernachten. 19De eerstelingen der eerste vruchten uws lands zult gij in het huis des HEEREN uws Gods brengen. Gij zult het bokje niet koken in de melk zijner moeder. 20Ziet, Ik zende een Engel voor uw aangezicht, om u te behoeden op dezen weg, en om u te brengen tot de plaats, die Ik bereid heb. 21Hoedt u voor Zijn aangezicht, en weest Zijner stem gehoorzaam, en verbittert Hem niet; want Hij zal ulieder overtredingen niet vergeven; want Mijn Naam is in het binnenste van Hem. 22Maar zo gij Zijner stem naarstiglijk gehoorzaamt, en doet al wat Ik spreken zal, zo zal Ik uwer vijanden vijand, en uwer wederpartijders wederpartij zijn. 23Want Mijn Engel zal voor uw aangezicht gaan, en Hij zal u inbrengen tot de Amorieten, en Hethieten, en Ferezieten, en Kanaanieten, Hevieten, en Jebusieten; en Ik zal hen verdelgen. 24Gij zult u voor hun goden niet buigen, noch hen dienen; ook zult gij naar hun werken niet doen; maar gij zult ze geheel afbreken, en hun opgerichte beelden ganselijk vermorzelen. 25En gij zult den HEERE uw God dienen, zo zal Hij uw brood en uw water zegenen; en Ik zal de krankheden uit het midden van u weren. 26Er zal geen misdrachtige, noch onvruchtbare in uw land zijn; Ik zal het getal uwer dagen vervullen. 27Ik zal Mijn schrik voor uw aangezicht zenden, en al het volk, tot hetwelk gij komt, versaagd maken; en Ik zal maken, dat al uw vijanden u den nek toekeren. 28Ik zal ook horzelen voor uw aangezicht zenden; die zullen van voor uw aangezicht uitstoten de Hevieten, de Kanaanieten en de Hethieten. 29Ik zal hen in een jaar van uw aangezicht niet uitstoten, opdat het land niet woest worde, en het wild gedierte boven u niet vermenigvuldigd worde. 30Ik zal hen allengskens van uw aangezicht uitstoten, totdat gij gewassen zijt en het land erft. 31En Ik zal uw landpalen zetten van de zee Suf tot aan de zee der Filistijnen, en van de woestijn tot aan de rivier; want Ik zal de inwoners van dat land in uw hand geven, dat gij hen voor uw aangezicht uitstoot. 32Gij zult met hen, noch met hun goden, een verbond maken. 33Zij zullen in uw land niet wonen, opdat zij u tegen Mij niet doen zondigen; indien gij hun goden dient, het zal u voorzeker tot een valstrik zijn.
