1Так були перелїчені по своїх родах усї Ізрайлитяне, й оце вони записані в книги царів Ізраїлських. А Юдеї за свої проступки переведені в Вавилон. 2Ті, що перші жили на своїх державах, по містах Ізраїлських, були Ізрайлитяни, сьвященники, левіти та нетинеї. 3В Ерусалимі жили декотрі з потомків Юдиних, та деякі з потомків Беняминових, та з потомків Ефраїмових та Манассіїних: 4Утай, син Амміудів, сина Омріїного, сина Імрієвого, сина Ванїєвого, — з синів Перезових, Юдиного сина; 5З синів Шилона — Асаїя, перворідень і сини його; 6З синів Зари — Еуїл та їх брати, шістсот девятьдесять; 7Із синів Беняминових — Саллу, син Мешулламів, сина Годавіїного, сина Гассенуїного; 8Та Івнїя, син Ерохамів, та Ела, син Уззія, Михрієвого сина, та Мешуллам, син Шефатіїв, сина Рагуїлового, сина Івнїїного, 9І брати їх по родах їх: девятьсот пятьдесять шість, — усї сї були головями над родами в своїх поколїннях. 10А з сьвященників: Едаїя, Йоарив, Яхин, 11І Азарія, син Хелкіїн, сина Мешулламового, сина Садокового, сина Мерайотового, сина Ахитувового, передовий сьвященник в домі Божому; 12І Адаїя, син Ерохамів, сина Пашхурового, сина Малхіїного; та Маасай, син Адієла, сина Яхзерового, сина Мешулламового, сина Мешиллемитового, сина Іммерового; 13І брати їх, голови над родами своїми: тисяч сїмсот шістьдесять, — люде пильні в дїлї служення в домі Божому. 14А з левітів: Шемая, син Хашува, сина Азрикамового, сина Хашавіїного, — синів Мераріїних; 15І Вакбакар, Хереш, Галал і Маттанїя, син Міхін, сина Зихрієвого, сина Асафового; 16І Обадія, син Шемаїїн, сина Галалового, сина Ідитунового; й Берехія, син Асин, Елканиного сина, що жив у селах Нетофатських. 17А воротарі: Шаллум, Аккуб, Талмон та Ахиман та брати їх; Шаллум був головний. 18І досї цї воротарі при воротях царських, що на схід сонця, держать (за чергою) сторожу з синів Левіїних. 19Шаллум, син Корея, сина Евіясафового, сина Кореєвого, й брати його з його роду, Кореї, в дїлї своєї служби були сторожами при порогах сьвятинї, а батьки їх стерегли ввіходу в стан Господнїй. 20Пинеес Елеазаренко був вперід старшим над ними, і Господь був з ним. 21Захарія Мешелемієнко був воротарем при дверях храму соборнього. 22Усїх їх вибраних воротарями при порогах, було двістї дванайцять. Вони були записані в спис по своїх оселях. Їх настановив Давид та Самуїл-пророк задля їх вірностї. 23І вони й їх сини були на сторожі при брамах дому Господнього по пермінах своїх. 24По чотирьох боках були воротарі: на схід, на захід, на північ і на південь. 25А брати їх жили в своїх оселях, приходячи до них від часу до часу на сїм день. 26Цї чотири началні левіти мали собі повірених всїх воротарів; вони були пристановлені до житлів і до скарбівниць дому Божого. 27Вони й ночі проводили навкруги дому Божого, бо до їх належало сторогуваннє, й вони мали що-ранку одмикати двері. 28Декотрі зпоміж їх були пристановляні до службового посуду, так що з перелїчкою приймали його, й з перелїчкою видавали його. 29Декотрим зпоміж їх були поручені инші прибори й усе, що на сьвяту потріб: лїпше борошно, та вино, та олива, й ладан і пахощі. 30А деякі зпоміж синів сьвященницьких робили миро з запашнього коріння. 31Матафії з левітів, — він перворідень Селлума Кореєнка, — було повірене те, що смажилось на сковородах. 32Декотрим з їх братів, із Кегатових синів, було поручено приладжуваннє хлїбів показних, щоб приготовляти їх на кожну суботу. 33А сьпівцї, головні в левітських поколїннях, були в кімнатах храму, й свобідні від (иншої) служби, бо вони в день і в ночі мали свого дїла пильнувати. 34Це голови поколїнь левітських, в своїх родах головні. Вони жили в Ерусалимі: 35В Габаонї жили: батько Габаонїїв, Еїл, — його жінка на ймя Мааха, 36І син його перворідень Авдон, за ним Зур, Кис, Ваал, Нер, Надав, 37Гедор, Ахіо, Захарія та Миклот. 38Від Миклота народивсь Шимеам. І вони жили побіч братів своїх в Ерусалимі, вкупі з братами своїми. 39Від Нера народивсь Кис; від Киса народивсь Саул; від Саула народивсь Йонатан, Мелхисуй, Абинадаб та Ешбаал. 40Син в Йонатана Мериббаал; від Мериббаала народивсь Миха. 41Сини Михині: Питон, Мелех, Тарей (та Ахаз). 42Від Ахаза народивсь Яера; від Яери народились Алемет, Азмавет і Замбрій; від Замбрія народивсь Моза. 43Від Мози народивсь Бинея; Рефаїя, його син; Елеаса, його син; Азел, його син. 44У Азела шість синів, оце вони на імення: Азрикам, Бохру, Ісмаїл, Шеарія, Обадія та Ханан. Це сини Азелові.

1So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel: and Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience. 2Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim. 3In Jerusalem lived of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh: 4Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah. 5Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons. 6Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brothers, six hundred ninety. 7Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah, 8and Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah; 9and their brothers, according to their generations, nine hundred fifty-six. All these men were heads of fathers’ households by their fathers’ houses. 10Of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, Jachin, 11and Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of God’s house; 12and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer; 13and their brothers, heads of their fathers’ houses, one thousand seven hundred sixty; very able men for the work of the service of God’s house. 14Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari; 15and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph, 16and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites. 17The porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief), 18who previously served in the king’s gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi. 19Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father’s house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of Yahweh, keepers of the entry. 20Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and Yahweh was with him. 21Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the Tent of Meeting. 22All these who were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their office of trust. 23So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of Yahweh’s house, even the house of the tent, by wards. 24On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south. 25Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them: 26for the four chief porters, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house. 27They lodged around God’s house, because that duty was on them; and to them pertained its opening morning by morning. 28Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service; for by count were these brought in and by count were these taken out. 29Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices. 30Some of the sons of the priests prepared the confection of the spices. 31Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans. 32Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath. 33These are the singers, heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, who lived in the rooms and were free from other service; for they were employed in their work day and night. 34These were heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, throughout their generations, chief men: these lived at Jerusalem. 35In Gibeon there lived the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, whose wife’s name was Maacah: 36and his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab, 37and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth. 38Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. They also lived with their brothers in Jerusalem, over against their brothers. 39Ner became the father of Kish; and Kish became the father of Saul; and Saul became the father of Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal. 40The son of Jonathan was Merib Baal; and Merib Baal became the father of Micah. 41The sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz. 42Ahaz became the father of Jarah; and Jarah became the father of Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza; 43and Moza became the father of Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son. 44Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.

En die van Juda waren weggevoerd naar Babel, om hunner overtredingen wil. 2De eerste inwoners nu, die in hun bezitting, in hun steden kwamen, waren de Israelieten, de priesters, de Levieten, en de Nethinim. 3Maar te Jeruzalem woonden van de kinderen van Juda, en van de kinderen van Benjamin, en van de kinderen van Efraim en Manasse; 4Uthai, de zoon van Ammihud, den zoon van Omri, den zoon van Imri, den zoon van Bani, van de kinderen van Perez, den zoon van Juda. 5En van de Silonieten was Asaja, de eerstgeborene, en zijn kinderen. 6En van de kinderen van Zerah was Jeuel, en van hun broederen waren zeshonderd en negentig. 7En van de kinderen van Benjamin waren Sallu, de zoon van Mesullam, den zoon van Hodavja, den zoon van Hassenua; 8En Jibnea, de zoon van Jeroham, en Ela, de zoon van Uzzi, den zoon van Michri; en Mesullam, de zoon van Sefatja, den zoon van Reuel, den zoon van Jibnija; 9En hun broederen naar hun geslachten, negenhonderd zes en vijftig; al deze mannen waren hoofden der vaderen in de huizen hunner vaderen. 10Van de priesteren nu, Jedaja, en Jojarib, en Jachin, 11En Azarja, de zoon van Hilkija, den zoon van Mesullam, den zoon van Zadok, den zoon van Merajoth, den zoon van Ahitub, overste van het huis Gods; 12En Adaja, de zoon van Jeroham, den zoon van Pashur, den zoon van Malchija; en Massi, de zoon van Adiel, den zoon van Jahzera, den zoon van Mesullam, den zoon van Mesillemith, den zoon van Immer. 13Daartoe hun broeders, hoofden in de huizen hunner vaderen, duizend zevenhonderd en zestig, kloeke helden aan het werk van den dienst van het huis Gods. 14Van de Levieten nu waren Semaja, de zoon van Hasub, den zoon van Azrikam, den zoon van Hasabja, van de kinderen van Merari; 15En Bakbakkar, Heres, en Galal, en Mattanja, de zoon van Micha, den zoon van Zichri, den zoon van Asaf; 16En Obadja, de zoon van Semaja, den zoon van Galal, den zoon van Jeduthun; en Berechja, de zoon van Asa, den zoon van Elkana, woonachtig in de dorpen der Netofathieten. 17De poortiers nu waren: Sallum, en Akkub, en Talmon, en Ahiman, en hun broeders; Sallum was het hoofd. 18Ook tot nog toe, aan de poort des konings oostwaarts, waren dezen de poortiers onder de legers der kinderen van Levi. 19En Sallum, de zoon van Kore, den zoon van Ebjasaf, den zoon van Korah, en zijn broeders van het huis zijns vaders, de Korathieten, waren over het werk van den dienst, wachters der dorpelen des tabernakels; gelijk hun vaders in het leger des HEEREN geweest waren bewaarders van den ingang; 20Als Pinehas, de zoon van Eleazar, te voren voorganger bij hen was, met welken de HEERE was. 21Zacharja, de zoon van Meselemja, was poortier aan de deur van de tent der samenkomst. 22Allen, die uitgelezen waren tot poortiers aan de dorpelen, waren tweehonderd en twaalf. Dezen waren in het geslachtsregister gesteld naar hun dorpen. David en Samuel, de ziener, hadden hen in hun ambt bevestigd. 23Zij dan en hun zonen waren aan de poorten van het huis des HEEREN, in het huis der tent, aan de wachten. 24Die poortiers waren aan de vier winden, tegen het oosten, tegen het westen, tegen het noorden, en tegen het zuiden. 25En hun broeders waren op hun dorpen, inkomende ten zevenden dage van tijd tot tijd, om met hen te dienen; 26Want in dat ambt waren vier overste poortiers, die Levieten waren; en zij waren over de kameren en over de schatten van het huis Gods. 27En zij bleven over nacht rondom het huis Gods; want op hen was de wacht, en zij waren over de opening, en dat allen morgen. 28En enigen van hen waren over de vaten van den dienst; want bij getal droegen zij ze in, en bij getal droegen zij ze uit. 29Want uit dezelve zijn er besteld over de vaten, en over al de heilige vaten, en over de meelbloem, en wijn, en olie, en wierook, en specerij. 30En uit de zonen der priesteren waren de bereiders van het reukwerk der specerijen. 31En Mattithja uit de Levieten, dewelke was de eerstgeborene van Sallum, den Korahiet, was in het ambt over het werk, dat in pannen gekookt wordt. 32En uit de kinderen der Kahathieten, uit hun broederen, waren enigen over de broden der toerichting, om die alle sabbatten te bereiden. 33Uit dezen zijn ook de zangers, hoofden der vaderen onder de Levieten in de kameren, dienstvrij; want dag en nacht was het op hen, in dat werk te zijn. 34Dit zijn de hoofden der vaderen onder de Levieten, hoofden in hun geslachten; dezen woonden te Jeruzalem. 35Maar te Gibeon hadden gewoond Jeiel, de vader van Gibeon; de naam zijner zuster nu was Maacha. 36En Abdon was zijn eerstgeboren zoon, daarna Zur, en Kis, en Baal, en Ner, en Nadab. 37En Gedor, en Ahio, en Zacharja, en Mikloth. 38Mikloth nu gewon Simeam; dezen woonden ook te Jeruzalem, tegenover hun broederen, met hun broederen. 39En Ner gewon Kis, en Kis gewon Saul, en Saul gewon Jonathan, en Malchi-sua, en Abinadab, en Esbaal. 40En Jonathans zoon van Merib-baal, en Merib-baal gewon Micha. 41De kinderen van Micha nu waren Pithon, en Melech, en Thaerea. 42En Achaz gewon Jaera, en Jaera gewon Alemeth, en Azmaveth, en Zimri; en Zimri gewon Moza; 43En Moza gewon Bina; wiens zoon was Refaja; wiens zoon was Elasa; wiens zoon was Azel. 44Azel nu had zes zonen, en dit zijn hun namen: Azrikam, Bochru, en Ismael, en Searja, en Obadja, en Hanan; dezen zijn Azels zonen.
