Jeremia 28

1Men samma år, i begynnelsen av Sidkias, Juda konungs, regering, i femte månaden av hans fjärde regeringsår, talade profeten Hananja, Assurs son, från Gibeon, så till mig i HERRENS hus, i prästernas och allt folkets närvaro; han sade: 2»Så säger HERREN Sebaot, Israels Gud: Jag skall sönderbryta den babyloniske konungens ok. 3Inom två års tid skall jag föra tillbaka till denna plats alla de kärl i HERRENS hus, som Nebukadnessar, konungen i Babel, har tagit bort ifrån denna plats och fört till Babel. 4Och Jekonja, Jojakims son, Juda konung, och alla fångar ifrån Juda, som hava kommit till Babel, skall jag föra tillbaka till denna plats, säger HERREN; ty jag skall sönderbryta den babyloniske konungens ok.» 5Men profeten Jeremia svarade profeten Hananja, i närvaro av prästerna och allt det folk som stod i HERRENS hus; 6profeten Jeremia sade: »Amen. Så göre HERREN. Det som du har profeterat må HERREN uppfylla, i det att han för tillbaka från Babel till denna plats de kärl som funnos i HERRENS hus, så ock alla fångarna. 7Men hör dock detta ord som jag vill tala inför dig och allt folket. 8Forna tiders profeter, de som hava varit före mig och dig, hava mot mäktiga länder och stora riken profeterat om krig, olycka och pest. 9Därför, om nu en profet profeterar om lycka, så kan man först då när den profetens ord går i fullbordan veta att han är en profet som HERREN i sanning har sänt.» 10Då tog profeten Hananja oket från profeten Jeremias hals och bröt sönder det. 11Och Hananja sade i allt folkets närvaro: »Så säger HERREN: Just så skall jag inom två års tid bryta sönder den babyloniske konungen Nebukadnessars ok och taga det från alla folkens hals.» Men profeten Jeremia gick sin väg. 12Sedan, efter det att profeten Hananja hade brutit sönder oket och tagit det från profeten Jeremias hals, kom HERRENS ord till Jeremia; han sade: 13»Gå åstad och säg till Hananja: Så säger HERREN: Ett ok av trä har du brutit sönder, men i dess ställe har du skaffat ett ok av järn. 14Ty så säger HERREN Sebaot, Israels Gud: Ett ok av järn skall jag sätta på alla dessa folks hals, för att de må tjäna Nebukadnessar, konungen i Babel; ty honom skola de tjäna. Ja ock markens djur har jag givit honom.» 15Och profeten Jeremia sade ytterligare till profeten Hananja: »Hör, du Hananja: HERREN har icke sänt dig; du har förlett detta folk att sätta sin lit till lögn. 16Därför säger HERREN så: Se, jag skall taga dig bort ifrån jorden. I detta år skall du dö, eftersom du har predikat avfall från HERREN.» 17Och samma år, i sjunde månaden, dog profeten Hananja.

1That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, 2Thus speaks Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon: 4and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon, says Yahweh; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house, 6even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so; Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon to this place. 7Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people: 8The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. 9The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall happen, then shall the prophet be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him. 10Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it. 11Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. The prophet Jeremiah went his way. 12Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 13Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says Yahweh: You have broken the bars of wood; but you have made in their place bars of iron. 14For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also. 15Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh. 17So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

1Voorts geschiedde het in hetzelfde jaar, in het begin des koninkrijks van Zedekia, koning van Juda, in het vierde jaar, in de vijfde maand, dat Hananja, zoon van Azur, de profeet, die van Gibeon was, tot mij sprak, in het huis des HEEREN, voor de ogen der priesteren en des gansen volks, zeggende: 2Zo spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels, zeggende: Ik heb het juk des konings van Babel verbroken. 3In nog twee volle jaren zal Ik tot deze plaats wederbrengen al de vaten van het huis des HEEREN, die Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, uit deze plaats heeft weggenomen, en dezelve naar Babel gebracht. 4Ook zal Ik Jechonia, den zoon van Jojakim, koning van Juda, en allen, die gevankelijk weggevoerd zijn van Juda, die te Babel gekomen zijn, tot deze plaats wederbrengen, spreekt de HEERE; want Ik zal het juk des konings van Babel verbreken. 5Toen sprak de profeet Jeremia tot den profeet Hananja, voor de ogen der priesteren, en voor de ogen des gansen volks, die in het huis des HEEREN stonden; 6En de profeet Jeremia zeide: Amen, de HEERE doe alzo! de HEERE bevestige uw woorden, die gij geprofeteerd hebt, dat Hij de vaten van des HEEREN huis, en allen, die gevankelijk zijn weggevoerd, van Babel wederbrenge tot deze plaats! 7Maar hoor nu dit woord, dat ik spreek voor uw oren, en voor de oren des gansen volks: 8De profeten, die voor mij en voor u van ouds geweest zijn, die hebben tegen veel landen en tegen grote koninkrijken geprofeteerd, van krijg, en van kwaad, en van pestilentie. 9De profeet, die geprofeteerd zal hebben van vrede, als het woord van dien profeet komt, dan zal die profeet bekend worden, dat hem de HEERE in der waarheid gezonden heeft. 10Toen nam de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia, en verbrak het. 11En Hananja sprak voor de ogen des gansen volks, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Alzo zal Ik verbreken het juk van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, in nog twee volle jaren, van den hals al der volken. En de profeet Jeremia ging zijns weegs. 12Doch des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot Jeremia (nadat de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia verbroken had), zeggende: 13Ga henen en spreek tot Hananja, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Houten jukken hebt gij verbroken, nu zult gij in plaats van die ijzeren jukken maken. 14Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ik heb een ijzeren juk gedaan aan den hals van al deze volken, om Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, te dienen, en zij zullen hem dienen; ja, Ik heb hem ook het gedierte des velds gegeven. 15En de profeet Jeremia zeide tot den profeet Hananja: Hoor nu, Hananja! de HEERE heeft u niet gezonden, maar gij hebt gemaakt, dat dit volk op leugen vertrouwt. 16Daarom, zo zegt de HEERE: Zie, Ik zal u wegwerpen van den aardbodem; dit jaar zult gij sterven, omdat gij een afval gesproken hebt tegen den HEERE. 17Alzo stierf de profeet Hananja in datzelfde jaar, in de zevende maand.
