1И вот распределения сыновей Аароновых: сыновья Аарона: Надав, Авиуд, Елеазар и Ифамар. 2Надав и Авиуд умерли прежде отца своего, сыновей же не было у них, и потому священствовали Елеазар и Ифамар. 3И распределил их Давид — Садока из сыновей Елеазара, и Ахимелеха из сыновей Ифамара, поочередно на службу их. 4И нашлось, что между сынами Елеазара глав поколений более, нежели между сынами Ифамара. И он распределил их так: из сынов Елеазара шестнадцать глав семейств, а из сынов Ифамара восемь. 5Распределял же их по жребиям, потому что главными во святилище и главными пред Богом были из сынов Елеазара и из сынов Ифамара, 6и записывал их Шемаия, сын Нафанаила, писец из левитов, пред лицем царя и князей и пред священником Садоком и Ахимелехом, сыном Авиафара, и пред главами семейств священнических и левитских: брали при бросании жребия одно семейство из рода Елеазарова, потом брали из рода Ифамарова. 7И вышел первый жребий Иегоиариву, второй Иедаии, 8третий Хариму, четвертый Сеориму, 9пятый Малхию, шестой Миямину, 10седьмой Гаккоцу, восьмой Авии, 11девятый Иешую, десятый Шехании, 12одиннадцатый Елиашиву, двенадцатый Иакиму, 13тринадцатый Хушаю, четырнадцатый Иешеваву, 14пятнадцатый Вилге, шестнадцатый Имеру, 15семнадцатый Хезиру, восемнадцатый Гапицецу, 16девятнадцатый Петахии, двадцатый Иезекиилю, 17двадцать первый Иахину, двадцать второй Гамулу, 18двадцать третий Делаии, двадцать четвертый Маазии. 19Вот порядок их при служении их, как им приходить в дом Господень, по уставу их чрез Аарона, отца их, как заповедал ему Господь Бог Израилев. 20У прочих сыновей Левия — распределение: из сынов Амрама: Шуваил; из сынов Шуваила: Иедия; 21от Рехавии: из сынов Рехавии Ишшия был первый; 22от Ицгара: Шеломоф; из сыновей Шеломофа: Иахав; 23из сыновей Хеврона: первый Иерия, второй Амария, третий Иахазиил, четвертый Иекамам. 24Из сыновей Озиила: Миха; из сыновей Михи: Шамир. 25Брат Михи Ишшия; из сыновей Ишшии: Захария. 26Сыновья Мерари: Махли и Муши; из сыновей Иаазии: Бено. 27Из сыновей Мерари у Иаазии: Бено и Шогам, и Заккур и Иври. 28У Махлия — Елеазар; у него сыновей не было. 29У Киса: из сыновей Киса: Иерахмиил; 30сыновья Мушия: Махли, Едер и Иеримоф. Вот сыновья левитов по поколениям их. 31Бросали и они жребий, наравне с братьями своими, сыновьями Аароновыми, пред лицем царя Давида и Садока и Ахимелеха, и глав семейств священнических и левитских: глава семейства наравне с меньшим братом своим.

1These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 2But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office. 3David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service. 4There were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and they were divided like this: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers’ houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers’ houses, eight. 5Thus were they divided impartially by drawing lots; for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar. 6Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers’ house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar. 7Now the first lot came out to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah, 8the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim, 9the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin, 10the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah, 11the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah, 12the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim, 13the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab, 14the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer, 15the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez, 16the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel, 17the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul, 18the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah. 19This was their ordering in their service, to come into Yahweh’s house according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, had commanded him. 20Of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah. 21Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief. 22Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath. 23The sons of Hebron: Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth. 24The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir. 25The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah. 26The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah: Beno. 27The sons of Merari: of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri. 28Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons. 29Of Kish; the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel. 30The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers’ houses. 31These likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers’ households of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

1Aangaande nu de kinderen van Aaron, dit waren hun verdelingen. De zonen van Aaron waren Nadab, en Abihu, Eleazar en Ithamar. 2Maar Nadab stierf, en Abihu, voor het aangezicht huns vaders, en zij hadden geen kinderen. En Eleazar en Ithamar bedienden het priesterambt. 3David nu verdeelde hen, en Zadok uit de kinderen van Eleazar, en Abimelech uit de kinderen van Ithamar, naar hun ambt in hun dienst. 4En van de kinderen van Eleazar werden meer gevonden tot hoofden der mannen, dan van de kinderen van Ithamar, als zij hen afdeelden; van de kinderen van Eleazar waren zestien hoofden der vaderlijke huizen, maar van de kinderen van Ithamar, naar hun vaderlijke huizen, acht. 5En zij deelden hen door loten af, dezen met genen; want de oversten des heiligdoms en de oversten Gods waren uit de kinderen van Eleazar en van de kinderen van Ithamar. 6En Semaja, de zoon van Nethaneel, de schrijver, uit de Levieten, schreef hen op, voor het aangezicht des konings, en van de vorsten, en van den priester Zadok, en van Achimelech, den zoon van Abjathar, en van de hoofden der vaderen onder de priesters en onder de Levieten; een vaderlijk huis werd genomen voor Eleazer, en desgelijks werd genomen voor Ithamar. 7Het eerste lot nu ging uit voor Jojarib, het tweede voor Jedaja, 8Het derde voor Harim, het vierde voor Seorim, 9Het vijfde voor Malchia, het zesde voor Mijamin, 10Het zevende voor Hakkoz, het achtste voor Abia, 11Het negende voor Jesua, het tiende voor Sechanja, 12Het elfde voor Eljasib, het twaalfde voor Jakim, 13Het dertiende voor Huppa, het veertiende voor Jesebeab, 14Het vijftiende voor Bilga, het zestiende voor Immer, 15Het zeventiende voor Hezir, het achttiende voor Happizzes, 16Het negentiende voor Petahja, het twintigste voor Jehezkel, 17Het een en twintigste voor Jachin, het twee en twintigste voor Gamul, 18Het drie en twintigste voor Delaja, het vier en twintigste voor Maazja. 19Het ambt van dezen in hun dienst was te gaan in het huis des HEEREN, naar hun ordening door de hand van Aaron, huns vaders; gelijk als hem de HEERE, de God Israels, geboden had. 20Van de overige kinderen van Levi nu, was van de kinderen van Amram Subael, van de kinderen van Subael was Jechdeja. 21Aangaande Rehabja: van de kinderen van Rehabja was Jissia het hoofd. 22Van de Jizharieten was Selomoth; van de kinderen van Selomoth was Jahath. 23En van de kinderen van Hebron was Jeria de eerste, Amarja de tweede, Jahaziel de derde, Jekameam de vierde. 24Van de kinderen van Uzziel was Micha; van de kinderen van Micha was Samir; 25De broeder van Micha was Jissia; van de kinderen van Jissia was Zecharja. 26De kinderen van Merari waren Maheli en Musi. De kinderen van Jaazia waren Beno. 27De kinderen van Merari van Jaazia waren Beno, en Soham, en Zakkur, en Hibri. 28Van Maheli was Eleazar; en die had geen kinderen. 29Aangaande Kis: de kinderen van Kis waren Jerahmeel. 30En de kinderen van Musi waren Maheli, en Eder, en Jerimoth. Dezen zijn de kinderen der Levieten, naar hun vaderlijke huizen. 31En zij wierpen ook loten, nevens hun broederen, de zonen van Aaron, voor het aangezicht van den koning David, en Zadok, en Achimelech, en van de hoofden der vaderen onder de priesteren en onder de Levieten; het hoofd der vaderen tegen zijn kleinsten broeder.
