Amos 9

1Aku melihat Tuhan berdiri di dekat mazbah, dan Dia berfirman, “Pukullah kepala tiang utama dengan keras sehingga serambi depan berguncang, runtuhkanlah semuanya itu ke atas kepala semua orang, dan orang-orang yang tinggal akan Kubunuh dengan pedang. Tidak satu pun akan melarikan diri, tidak satu pun akan terluput. 2Sekalipun mereka menggali sampai ke dunia orang mati, tangan-Ku akan mengambil mereka dari sana. Sekalipun mereka naik sampai ke langit, Aku akan menurunkan mereka dari sana. 3Sekalipun mereka menyembunyikan diri di puncak Gunung Karmel, Aku akan mencari dan mengambil mereka dari sana. Sekalipun mereka bersembunyi dari hadapan mata-Ku di dasar laut, Aku akan memerintahkan ular untuk memagut mereka di sana. 4Sekalipun mereka pergi menjadi tawanan bagi musuh mereka, Aku akan memerintahkan pedang yang akan membunuh mereka di sana. Aku akan mengarahkan mata-Ku kepada mereka, untuk malapetaka dan bukan untuk kebaikan mereka.” 5TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, Dia yang menjamah bumi dan membuatnya meleleh, dan seluruh penduduk yang diam di dalamnya berkabung, dan seluruhnya akan pasang seperti sungai, dan akan surut seperti sungai Mesir. 6Dia yang membangun takhta tinggi-Nya di langit, dan membuat dasar-dasar kubah-Nya di atas bumi. Dia memanggil air laut dan mencurahkannya ke atas permukaan bumi, TUHAN itulah nama-Nya. 7“Bukankah kamu seperti orang-orang Kus bagi-Ku, hai orang-orang Israel?” kata firman TUHAN. “Bukankah Aku yang telah menuntun orang Israel keluar dari tanah Mesir, orang Filistin dari Kaftor, dan orang Aram dari Kir?” 8“Lihat, mata TUHAN Allah ada atas kerajaan yang berdosa ini: Aku akan memusnahkannya dari muka bumi! Akan tetapi, Aku takkan memusnahkan seluruh keturunan Yakub,” kata firman TUHAN. 9“Sebab sesungguhnya, Aku akan memerintah dan mengguncang-guncangkan kaum Israel dari antara segala bangsa seperti orang yang menampi ayakan, tetapi tidak ada sebutir gandum kecil pun yang akan jatuh ke tanah. 10Semua orang berdosa dari umat-Ku akan mati oleh pedang, yaitu mereka yang berkata ‘malapetaka tidak akan mengejar atau menghadapi kami.’” 11“Pada hari itu, Aku akan membangkitkan pondok Daud yang sudah roboh. dan memperbaiki kerusakannya, dan membangun reruntuhannya, Aku akan membangun kembali seperti pada zaman dahulu kala 12supaya mereka mengambil sisa-sisa kepunyaan orang Edom, dan semua bangsa yang dipanggil oleh nama-Ku,” kata firman TUHAN yang melakukan semua ini. 13“Lihat, saatnya akan datang,” kata firman TUHAN, “ketika pembajak akan digantikan oleh penuai, dan yang menanam buah anggur oleh yang menabur benih; gunung-gunung akan meneteskan anggur manis, dan mengalir ke semua bukit. 14Aku akan membawa kembali tawanan umat-Ku Israel, mereka akan membangun kembali kota-kota yang telah hancur dan diam di sana. Mereka akan menanam kebun-kebun anggur dan minum air anggur darinya. Mereka akan membuat kebun dan makan buah-buahnya. 15Aku akan menanam mereka di tanah mereka, dan mereka tidak akan lagi dicabut dari tanah yang telah Kuberikan kepada mereka,” kata firman TUHAN, Allahmu.

1I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said, “Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will kill the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape. 2Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down. 3Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out there; and though they be hidden from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them. 4Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good. 5For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt. 6It is he who builds his rooms in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth; Yahweh is his name. 7Are you not like the children of the Ethiopians to me, children of Israel?” says Yahweh. “Haven’t I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? 8Behold, the eyes of the Lord Yahweh are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” says Yahweh. 9“For, behold, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet not the least kernel will fall on the earth. 10All the sinners of my people will die by the sword, who say, ‘Evil won’t overtake nor meet us.’ 11In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old; 12that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my name,” says Yahweh who does this. 13“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills. 14I will bring my people Israel back from captivity, and they will rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards, and drink wine from them. They shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit. 15I will plant them on their land, and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them,” says Yahweh your God.

1Ik zag den Heere staan op het altaar, en Hij zeide: Sla dien knoop, dat de posten beven, en doorkloof ze allen in het hoofd; en Ik zal hun achterste met het zwaard doden; en vliedende zal onder hen niet ontvlieden, noch de ontkomende onder hen behouden worden. 2Al groeven zij tot in de hel, zo zal Mijn hand ze van daar halen, en al klommen zij in den hemel, zo zal Ik ze van daar doen nederdalen. 3En al verstaken zij zich op de hoogte van Karmel, zo zal Ik ze naspeuren en van daar halen; en al verborgen zij zich van voor Mijn ogen in den grond van de zee, zo zal Ik van daar een slang gebieden, die zal ze bijten. 4En al gingen zij in gevangenis voor het aangezicht hunner vijanden, zo zal Ik vandaar het zwaard gebieden, dat het hen dode; en Ik zal Mijn oog tegen hen zetten ten kwade, en niet ten goede. 5Want de Heere HEERE der heirscharen is het, Die het land aanroert, dat het versmelte, en allen, die daarin wonen, treuren; en dat het geheel oprijze als een rivier, en verdronken worde als door de rivier van Egypte. 6Die Zijn opperzalen in den hemel bouwt, en Zijn benden heeft Hij op aarde gefondeerd; Die de wateren der zee roept, en giet ze uit op den aardbodem; HEERE is Zijn Naam. 7Zijt gijlieden Mij niet als de kinderen der Moren, o kinderen Israels? spreekt de HEERE. Heb Ik Israel niet opgevoerd uit Egypteland, en de Filistijnen uit Kafthor, en de Syriers uit Kir? 8Ziet, de ogen des Heeren HEEREN zijn tegen dit zondig koninkrijk, dat Ik het van den aardbodem verdelge; behalve dat Ik het huis Jakobs niet ganselijk zal verdelgen, spreekt de HEERE. 9Want ziet, Ik geef bevel, en Ik zal het huis Israels onder al de heidenen schudden, gelijk als zaad geschud wordt in een zeef; en niet een steentje zal er ter aarde vallen. 10Alle zondaars Mijns volks zullen door het zwaard sterven; die daar zeggen: Het kwaad zal tot ons niet genaken, noch ons voorkomen. 11Te dien dage zal Ik de vervallen hut van David weder oprichten, en Ik zal haar reten vertuinen, en wat aan haar is afgebroken, weder oprichten, en zal ze bouwen, als in de dagen van ouds; 12Opdat zij erfelijk bezitten het overblijfsel van Edom, en al de heidenen, die naar Mijn Naam genoemd worden, spreekt de HEERE, Die dit doet. 13Ziet, de dagen komen, spreekt de HEERE, dat de ploeger den maaier, en de druiventreder den zaadzaaier genaken zal; en de bergen zullen van zoeten wijn druipen, en al de heuvelen zullen smelten. 14En Ik zal de gevangenis van Mijn volk Israel wenden, en zij zullen de verwoeste steden herbouwen en bewonen, en wijngaarden planten, en derzelver wijn drinken; en zij zullen hoven maken, en derzelver vrucht eten. 15En Ik zal ze in hun land planten; en zij zullen niet meer worden uitgerukt uit hun land, dat Ik hunlieden gegeven heb, zegt de HEERE, uw God.
