1Τότε εσηκώθη Ελιασείβ ο ιερεύς ο μέγας, και οι αδελφοί αυτού οι ιερείς, και ωκοδόμησαν την πύλην την προβατικήν· ούτοι ηγίασαν αυτήν και έστησαν τας θύρας αυτής· και ηγίασαν αυτήν έως του πύργου Μεά, έως του πύργου Ανανεήλ. 2Και εις τα πλάγια αυτού ωκοδόμησαν οι άνδρες της Ιεριχώ. Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών ωκοδόμησε Ζακχούρ ο υιός του Ιμρί. 3Την θύραν δε την ιχθυϊκήν ωκοδόμησαν οι υιοί του Ασσεναά, οίτινες εσανίδωσαν αυτήν και έστησαν τας θύρας αυτής, τα κλείθρα αυτής και τους μοχλούς αυτής. 4Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασε Μερημώθ ο υιός του Ουρία, υιού του Ακκώς. Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασε Μεσουλλάμ ο υιός του Βαραχίου, υιού του Μεσηζαβεήλ. Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασε Σαδώκ ο υιός του Βαανά. 5Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασαν οι Θεκωΐται πλην οι πρόκριτοι αυτών δεν υπέβαλον τον τράχηλον αυτών εις το έργον του Κυρίου αυτών. 6Και την πύλην την παλαιάν επεσκεύασεν Ιωδαέ ο υιός του Φασέα, και Μεσουλλάμ ο υιός του Βεσωδία· ούτοι εσανίδωσαν αυτήν και έστησαν τας θύρας αυτής και τα κλείθρα αυτής και τους μοχλούς αυτής. 7Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασε Μελαθίας ο Γαβαωνίτης και Ιαδών ο Μερωνοθίτης, άνδρες της Γαβαών και της Μισπά, υπό τον θρόνον του επάρχου των εντεύθεν του ποταμού. 8Εις τα πλάγια αυτού επεσκεύασεν Οχιήλ ο υιός του Αραχίου, εκ των χρυσοχόων. Και εις τα πλάγια αυτού επεσκεύασεν Ανανίας, ο εκ των μυρεψών· και αφήκαν την Ιερουσαλήμ έως του τείχους του πλατέος. 9Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασε Ρεφαΐα ο υιός του Ωρ, ο άρχων του ημίσεος της περιχώρου της Ιερουσαλήμ. 10Και εις τα πλάγια αυτών επεσκεύασεν Ιεδαΐας ο υιός του Αρουμάφ, και απέναντι της οικίας αυτού. Και εις τα πλάγια αυτού επεσκεύασε Χαττούς ο υιός του Ασαβνία. 11Μαλχίας ο υιός του Χαρήμ, και Ασσούβ ο υιός του Φαάθ-μωάβ, επεσκεύασαν το άλλο τμήμα και τον πύργον των φούρνων. 12Και εις τα πλάγια αυτού επεσκεύασε Σαλλούμ ο υιός του Αλλωής, ο άρχων του ημίσεος της περιχώρου της Ιερουσαλήμ, αυτός και αι θυγατέρες αυτού. 13την πύλην της φάραγγος επεσκεύασεν ο Ανούν και οι κάτοικοι της Ζανωά· ούτοι ωκοδόμησαν αυτήν και έστησαν τας θύρας αυτής, τα κλείθρα αυτής και τους μοχλούς αυτής και χιλίας πήχας εις το τείχος έως της πύλης της κοπρίας. 14Την πύλην δε της κοπρίας επεσκεύασε Μαλχίας ο υιός του Ρηχάβ, ο άρχων της περιχώρου της Βαιθ-ακκερέμ· ούτος ωκοδόμησεν αυτήν και έστησε τας θύρας αυτής, τα κλείθρα αυτής και τους μοχλούς αυτής. 15Την πύλην δε της πηγής επεσκεύασε Σαλλούν ο υιός του Χολ-οζέ, ο άρχων της περιχώρου της Μισπά· ούτος ωκοδόμησεν αυτήν και εσανίδωσεν αυτήν και έστησε τας θύρας αυτής, τα κλείθρα αυτής και τους μοχλούς αυτής, και το τείχος της κολυμβήθρας του Σιλωάμ πλησίον του κήπου του βασιλέως, και έως των βαθμίδων των καταβαινουσών, από της πόλεως Δαβίδ. 16Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασε Νεεμίας ο υιός του Αζβούκ, ο άρχων του ημίσεος της περιχώρου της Βαιθ-σούρ, έως απέναντι των τάφων του Δαβίδ και έως της κατασκευασθείσης κολυμβήθρας και έως του οίκου των ισχυρών. 17Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασαν οι Λευΐται, Ρεούμ ο υιός του Βανί. Εις τα πλάγια αυτού επεσκεύασεν Ασαβίας, ο άρχων του ημίσεος της περιχώρου της Κεειλά, διά το μέρος αυτού. 18Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασαν οι αδελφοί αυτών, Βαβαΐ ο υιός του Ηναδάδ, ο άρχων του άλλου ημίσεος της περιχώρου της Κεειλά. 19Και εις τα πλάγια αυτού επεσκεύασεν Εσέρ ο υιός του Ιησού, ο άρχων της Μισπά, άλλο τμήμα απέναντι της αναβάσεως προς την οπλοθήκην της γωνίας. 20Κατόπιν αυτού Βαρούχ ο υιός του Ζαββαΐ επεσκεύασε μετά ζήλου το άλλο τμήμα, από της γωνίας έως της θύρας του οίκου Ελιασείβ του ιερέως του μεγάλου. 21Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασε Μερημώθ ο υιός του Ουρίου, υιού του Ακκώς, άλλο τμήμα, από της θύρας του οίκου του Ελιασείβ έως του τέλους του οίκου του Ελιασείβ. 22Και κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασαν οι ιερείς, οι κάτοικοι της περιχώρου. 23Κατόπιν αυτών επεσκεύασαν ο Βενιαμίν και ο Ασαούβ απέναντι του οίκου αυτών. Κατόπιν αυτών επεσκεύασεν Αζαρίας ο υιός του Μαασίου, υιού του Ανανίου, πλησίον του οίκου αυτού. 24Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασε Βιννουΐ ο υιός του Ηναδάδ άλλο τμήμα, από του οίκου του Αζαρίου έως της καμπής, έως μάλιστα της γωνίας. 25Φαλάλ ο υιός του Ουζαΐ επεσκεύασεν απέναντι της καμπής και του πύργου του εξέχοντος από του υψηλού οίκου του βασιλέως, του πλησίον της αυλής της φυλακής. Κατόπιν αυτού Φεδαΐας ο υιός του Φαρώς. 26Οι δε Νεθινείμ κατώκουν εν Οφήλ, και επεσκεύασαν έως απέναντι της πύλης των υδάτων προς ανατολάς και του πύργου του εξέχοντος. 27Κατόπιν αυτών οι Θεκωίται επεσκεύασαν άλλο τμήμα, απέναντι του μεγάλου πύργου του εξέχοντος και έως του τείχους του Οφήλ. 28Επάνωθεν της πύλης των ίππων επεσκεύασαν οι ιερείς, έκαστος απέναντι της οικίας αυτού. 29Κατόπιν αυτών επεσκεύασε Σαδώκ ο υιός του Ιμμήρ, απέναντι της οικίας αυτού. Και κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασε Σεμαΐας ο υιός του Σεχανίου, ο φύλαξ της ανατολικής πύλης. 30Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασεν Ανανίας ο υιός του Σελεμία, και Ανούν ο έκτος υιός του Σαλάφ, άλλο τμήμα. Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασε Μεσουλλάμ ο υιός του Βαραχίου απέναντι του οικήματος αυτού. 31Κατόπιν αυτού επεσκεύασε Μαλχίας, υιός χρυσοχόου, έως της οικίας των Νεθινείμ και των μεταπρατών, απέναντι της πύλης Μιφκάδ, και έως της αναβάσεως της γωνίας. 32Και μεταξύ της αναβάσεως της γωνίας έως της προβατικής πύλης, επεσκεύασαν οι χρυσοχόοι και οι μεταπράται.

1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors; even to the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, to the tower of Hananel. 2Next to him built the men of Jericho. Next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri. 3The sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars. 4Next to them, Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz made repairs. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel made repairs. Next to them, Zadok the son of Baana made repairs. 5Next to them, the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles didn’t put their necks to the work of their lord. 6Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its bolts, and its bars. 7Next to them, Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor beyond the River. 8Next to him, Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him, Hananiah one of the perfumers made repairs, and they fortified Jerusalem even to the broad wall. 9Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs. 10Next to them, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph made repairs across from his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs. 11Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces. 12Next to him, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters, made repairs. 13Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and one thousand cubits of the wall to the dung gate. 14Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth Haccherem repaired the dung gate. He built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars. 15Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah repaired the spring gate. He built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from the city of David. 16After him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, made repairs to the place opposite the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men. 17After him, the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani made repairs. Next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district. 18After him, their brothers, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah made repairs. 19Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, repaired another portion, across from the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall. 20After him, Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest. 21After him, Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz repaired another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib. 22After him, the priests, the men of the Plain made repairs. 23After them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs across from their house. After them, Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah made repairs beside his own house. 24After him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired another portion, from the house of Azariah to the turning of the wall, and to the corner. 25Palal the son of Uzai made repairs opposite the turning of the wall, and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made repairs. 26(Now the Nethinim lived in Ophel, to the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stands out.) 27After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that stands out, and to the wall of Ophel. 28Above the horse gate, the priests made repairs, everyone across from his own house. 29After them, Zadok the son of Immer made repairs across from his own house. After him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate made repairs. 30After him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another portion. After him, Meshullam the son of Berechiah made repairs across from his room. 31After him, Malchijah one of the goldsmiths to the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, made repairs over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner. 32Between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.

1En Eljasib, de hogepriester, maakte zich op met zijn broederen, de priesteren, en zij bouwden de Schaapspoort; zij heiligden ze, en richtten haar deuren op; ja, zij heiligden ze tot aan den toren Mea, tot aan den toren Hananeel. 2En aan zijn hand bouwden de mannen van Jericho; ook bouwde aan zijn hand Zacchur, de zoon van Imri. 3De Vispoort nu bouwden de kinderen van Senaa; zij zolderden die, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 4En aan hun hand verbeterde Meremoth, de zoon van Uria, den zoon van Koz; en aan hun hand verbeterde Mesullam, de zoon van Berechja, den zoon van Mesezabeel; en aan hun hand verbeterde Zadok, zoon van Baena. 5Voorts aan hun hand verbeterden de Thekoieten; maar hun voortreffelijken brachten hun hals niet tot den dienst huns Heeren. 6En de Oude poort verbeterden Jojada, de zoon van Paseah, en Mesullam, de zoon van Besodja; deze zolderden zij, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 7En aan hun hand verbeterden Melatja, de Gibeoniet, en Jadon, de Meronothiet, de mannen van Gibeon en van Mizpa; tot aan den stoel des landvoogds aan deze zijde der rivier. 8Aan zijn hand verbeterde Uzziel, de zoon van Harhoja, een der goudsmeden, en aan zijn hand verbeterde Hananja, de zoon van een der apothekers; en zij lieten Jeruzalem tot aan den breden muur. 9En aan hun hand verbeterde Refaja, de zoon van Hur, overste des halven deels van Jeruzalem. 10Voorts aan hun hand verbeterde Jedaja, de zoon van Herumaf, en tegenover zijn huis; en aan zijn hand verbeterde Hattus, de zoon van Hasabneja. 11De andere mate verbeterden Malchia, de zoon van Harim, en Hassub, de zoon van Pahath-Moab; daartoe den Bakoventoren. 12En aan zijn hand verbeterde Sallum, de zoon van Lohes, overste van het andere halve deel van Jeruzalem, hij en zijn dochteren. 13De Dalpoort verbeterden Hanun, en de inwoners van Zanoah; zij bouwden die, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen; daartoe duizend ellen aan den muur, tot aan de Mistpoort. 14De Mistpoort nu verbeterde Malchia, de zoon van Rechab, overste van het deel Beth-Cherem; hij bouwde ze, en richtte haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 15En de Fonteinpoort verbeterde Sallum, de zoon van Kol-Hoze, overste van het deel van Mizpa; hij bouwde ze, en overdekte ze, en richtte haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen; daartoe den muur des vijvers Schelah bij des konings hof, en tot aan de trappen, die afgaan van Davids stad. 16Na hem verbeterde Nehemia, de zoon van Azbuk, overste van het halve deel van Beth-Zur, tot tegenover Davids graven, en tot aan den gemaakten vijver, en tot aan het huis der helden. 17Na hem verbeterden de Levieten, Rehum, de zoon van Bani; aan zijn hand verbeterde Hasabja, de overste van het halve deel van Kehila, in zijn deel. 18Na hem verbeterden hun broederen, Bavai, de zoon van Henadad, de overste van het andere halve deel van Kehila. 19Aan zijn hand verbeterde Ezer, de zoon van Jesua, de overste van Mizpa, een ander maat; tegenover den opgang naar het wapenhuis, aan den hoek. 20Na hem verbeterde zeer vuriglijk Baruch, de zoon van Zabbai, een andere maat; van den hoek tot aan de deur van het huis van Eljasib, den hogepriester. 21Na hem verbeterde Meremoth, de zoon van Uria, den zoon van Koz, een ander maat; van de huisdeur van Eljasib af, tot aan het einde van Eljasibs huis. 22En na hem verbeterden de priesteren, wonende in de vlakke velden. 23Daarna verbeterden Benjamin, en Hassub, tegenover hun huis; na hem verbeterde Azaria, de zoon van Maaseja, den zoon van Hananja, bij zijn huis. 24Na hem verbeterde Binnui, de zoon van Henadad, een ander maat; van het huis van Azarja tot aan den hoek en tot aan het punt; 25Palal, de zoon van Uzai, tegen den hoek, en den hogen toren over, die van des konings huis uitsteekt, die bij den voorhof der gevangenis is; na hem Pedaja, de zoon van Paros; 26De Nethinim nu, die in Ofel woonden, tot tegenover de Waterpoort aan het oosten, en den uitstekenden toren. 27Daarna verbeterden de Thekoieten een ander maat; tegenover den groten uitstekenden toren, en tot aan den muur van Ofel. 28Van boven de Paardenpoort verbeterden de priesteren, een iegelijk tegenover zijn huis. 29Daarna verbeterde Zadok, de zoon van Immer, tegenover zijn huis. En na hem verbeterde Semaja, de zoon van Sechanja, de bewaarder van de Oostpoort. 30Na hem verbeterden Hananja, de zoon van Selemja, en Hanun, de zoon van Zalaf, de zesde, een andere maat. Na hem verbeterde Mesullam, de zoon van Berechja, tegenover zijn kamer. 31Na hem verbeterde Malchia, de zoon eens goudsmids, tot aan het huis der Nethinim en der kruideniers, tegenover de poort van Mifkad, en tot de opperzaal van het punt. 32En tussen de opperzaal van het punt tot de Schaapspoort toe, verbeterden de goudsmeden en de kruideniers.
