1Potom padl los synům Jozefovým, od Jordánu proti Jerichu při vodách Jerišských k východu, poušť, kteráž se začíná od Jericha přes hory Bethel. 2A od Bethel vychází do Lůza, a přichází ku pomezí Archi do Atarot. 3Potom jde k moři ku pomezí Jefleti, až ku pomezí Betoron dolního, a až k Gázer, a skonává se při moři. 4I vzali dědictví své synové Jozefovi, Manasses a Efraim. 5Byla pak meze synů Efraimových po čeledech jejich, ta byla meze dědictví jejich na východ, od Atarot Addar až do Betoron vrchního. 6A vychází meze ta k moři při Michmetat od půlnoční strany, a obchází meze k východu Tanatsilo, a přechází ji od východu k Janoe. 7A sstupuje z Janoe do Atarot a Nárat, a přichází do Jericha, a vychází k Jordánu. 8Od Tafue meze jde k moři ku potoku Kána, a skonává se při moři. To jest dědictví pokolení synů Efraim po čeledech jejich. 9Města pak oddělená synům Efraimovým byla u prostřed dědictví synů Manassesových, všecka města s vesnicemi svými. 10A nevyplénili Kananea bydlícího v Gázer. I bydlil Kananejský u prostřed Efraima až do dnes, dávaje plat.

1The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel. 2It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth; 3and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, even to Gezer; and ended at the sea. 4The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance. 5This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper. 6The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah. 7It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan. 8From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families; 9together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages. 10They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.

1Daarna kwam het lot der kinderen van Jozef uit: van de Jordaan bij Jericho, aan het water van Jericho, oostwaarts, de woestijn opgaande van Jericho, door het gebergte Beth-El; 2En het komt van Beth-El uit naar Luz; en het gaat door tot de landpale des Archiets, tot Ataroth toe; 3En het gaat af tegen het westen naar de landpale Jafleti, tot aan de landpale van het benedenste Beth-horon, en tot Gezer; en haar uitgangen zijn aan de zee. 4Alzo hebben hun erfdeel bekomen de kinderen van Jozef, Manasse en Efraim. 5De landpale nu der kinderen van Efraim, naar hun huisgezinnen, is deze: te weten, de landpale huns erfdeels was oostwaarts Atroth-Addar tot aan het bovenste Beth-Horon. 6En deze landpale gaat uit tegen het westen bij Michmetath, van het noorden, en deze landpale keert zich om tegen het oosten naar Thaanath-Silo, en gaat door dezelve van het oosten naar Janoah; 7En komt af van Janoah naar Ataroth en Naharoth, en stoot aan Jericho, en gaat uit aan de Jordaan. 8Van Tappuah gaat deze landpale westwaarts naar de beek Kana, en haar uitgangen zijn aan de zee. Dit is het erfdeel van den stam der kinderen van Efraim, naar hun huisgezinnen. 9En de steden, die afgezonderd waren voor de kinderen van Efraim, waren in het midden van het erfdeel der kinderen van Manasse, al die steden en haar dorpen. 10En zij verdreven de Kanaanieten niet, die te Gezer woonden; alzo woonden die Kanaanieten in het midden der Efraimieten tot op dezen dag; maar zij waren onder schatting dienende.
