Izajáš 58

1Volej vším hrdlem, nezadržuj, jako trouba povyš hlasu svého, a oznam lidu mému převrácenost jejich, a domu Jákobovu hříchy jejich. 2Jakkoli každého dne mne hledají, a znáti cesty mé jsou chtiví, jako by byli národ, kterýž spravedlnost činí, a soudu Boha svého neopouští. Dotazují se mne na soudy spravedlnosti, blízcí Boha býti chtějí, 3A říkají: Proč se postíváme, poněvadž nepatříš? Trápíváme duše své, a nechceš věděti o tom? Aj, v den postu vašeho líbost provodíte, a ke všem robotám svým přísně doháníte. 4Aj, k sváru a různici se postíváte, a abyste bili pěstí nemilostivě; nepostíte se tak dnů těch, aby slyšán byl na výsosti hlas váš. 5Zdaliž to jest takový půst, jakýž oblibuji, a den, v němž by trápil člověk duši svou? Zdali, aby svěsil jako třtina hlavu svou, a podstíral žíni a popel? To-liž nazůveš postem a dnem vzácným Hospodinu? 6Není-liž toto půst, kterýž oblibuji: Rozvázati svazky bezbožnosti; roztrhnouti snopky obtěžující, a potřené propustiti svobodné, a tak všelijaké jho abyste roztrhli? 7Není-liž: Abys lámal lačnému chléb svůj, a chudé vypověděné abys uvedl do domu? Viděl-li bys nahého, abys jej přioděl, a před tělem svým abys se neskrýval. 8Tehdáž se vyrazí jako jitřní záře světlo tvé, a zdraví tvé rychle zkvetne; předcházeti tě zajisté bude spravedlnost tvá, a sláva Hospodinova zbéře tě. 9Tehdy volati budeš, a Hospodin vyslyší tě; zavoláš, a řekneť: Teď jsem. Jestliže vyvržeš z prostřed sebe jho, a vztahování prstů, a mluvení nepravostí, 10A vyleješ-li lačnému duši svou, a strápenou duši nasytíš-li: vzejde v temnostech světlo tvé, a mrákota tvá bude jako poledne. 11Nebo povede tě Hospodin ustavičně, a nasytí i v náramné sucho duši tvou, a kosti tvé tukem naplní. I budeš jako zahrada svlažená, a jako pramen vod, jehož vody nevysychají. 12A vzdělají od tebe zplození pustiny starodávní; základy od národu do pronárodu vyzdvihneš. I slouti budeš vzdělavatel zbořeniny, a napravovatel stezek k bydlení. 13Jestliže odvrátíš od soboty nohu svou, abys nevykonával líbosti své v den svatý můj, anobrž nazůveš-li sobotu rozkoší, a svatou Hospodinu slavnou, a budeš-li ji slaviti tak, abys nečinil cest svých, ani vykonával, co by se líbilo, ani nemluvil slova: 14Tehdy rozkoš míti budeš v Hospodinu, a uvedu tě na vysoká místa země, a způsobím to, abys užíval dědictví Jákoba otce svého; nebo ústa Hospodinova mluvila.

1“Cry aloud, don’t spare, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins. 2Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God. 3‘Why have we fasted,’ say they, ‘and you don’t see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge?’ “Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and exact all your labors. 4Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness: you don’t fast this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high. 5Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yahweh? 6“Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? 7Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8Then your light shall break out as the morning, and your healing shall spring out speedily; and your righteousness shall go before you; Yahweh’s glory shall be your rear guard. 9Then you shall call, and Yahweh will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from your midst the yoke, the putting out of the finger, and speaking wickedly; 10and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then your light shall rise in darkness, and your obscurity be as the noonday; 11and Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters don’t fail. 12Those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. 13“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words: 14then you shall delight yourself in Yahweh; and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth; and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father:” for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.

1Roep uit de keel, houd niet in, verhef uw stem als een bazuin, en verkondig Mijn volk hun overtreding, en het huis Jakobs hun zonden. 2Hoewel zij Mij dagelijks zoeken, en een lust hebben aan de kennis Mijner wegen, als een volk, dat gerechtigheid doet en het recht zijns Gods niet verlaat, vragen zij Mij naar de rechten der gerechtigheid; zij hebben een lust tot God te naderen; 3Zeggende: Waarom vasten wij, en Gij ziet het niet aan, waarom kwellen wij onze ziel, en Gij weet het niet? Ziet, ten dage, wanneer gijlieden vast, zo vindt gij uw lust, en gij eist gestrengelijk al uw arbeid. 4Ziet, tot twist en gekijf vast gijlieden, en om goddelooslijk met de vuist te slaan; vast niet gelijk heden, om uw stem te doen horen in de hoogte. 5Zou het zulk een vasten zijn, dat Ik verkiezen zou, dat de mens zijn ziel een dag kwelle, dat hij zijn hoofd kromme gelijk een bieze, en een zak en as onder zich spreide? Zoudt gij dat een vasten heten, en een dag den HEERE aangenaam? 6Is niet dit het vasten, dat Ik verkies: dat gij losmaakt de knopen der goddeloosheid, dat gij ontdoet de banden des juks, en dat gij vrij loslaat de verpletterden, en alle juk verscheurt? 7Is het niet, dat gij den hongerige uw brood mededeelt, en de armen, verdrevenen in huis brengt? Als gij een naakte ziet, dat gij hem dekt, en dat gij u voor uw vlees niet verbergt? 8Dan zal uw licht voortbreken als de dageraad, en uw genezing zal snellijk uitspruiten; en uw gerechtigheid zal voor uw aangezicht heengaan, en de heerlijkheid des HEEREN zal uw achtertocht wezen. 9Dan zult gij roepen, en de HEERE zal antwoorden; gij zult schreeuwen, en Hij zal zeggen: Ziet, hier ben Ik. Zo gij uit het midden van u wegdoet het juk, het uitsteken des vingers, en het spreken der ongerechtigheid; 10En zo gij uw ziel opent voor den hongerige, en de bedrukte ziel verzadigt; dan zal uw licht in de duisternis opgaan, en uw donkerheid zal zijn als de middag. 11En de HEERE zal u geduriglijk leiden, en Hij zal uw ziel verzadigen in grote droogten, en uw beenderen vaardig maken; en gij zult zijn als een gewaterde hof, en als een springader der wateren, welker wateren niet ontbreken. 12En die uit u voortkomen, zullen bouwen de oude verwoeste plaatsen; de fondamenten, van geslacht tot geslacht verwoest, zult gij oprichten; en gij zult genaamd worden: Die de bressen toemuurt, die de paden weder opmaakt, om te bewonen. 13Indien gij uw voet van den sabbat afkeert, van te doen uw lust op Mijn heiligen dag; en indien gij den sabbat noemt een verlustiging, opdat de HEERE geheiligd worde, Die te eren is; en indien gij dien eert, dat gij uw wegen niet doet, en uw eigen lust niet vindt, noch een woord daarvan spreekt; 14Dan zult gij u verlustigen in den HEERE, en Ik zal u doen rijden op de hoogten der aarde, en Ik zal u spijzigen met de erve van uw vader Jakob; want de mond des HEEREN heeft het gesproken.
