The red thread
For now, the explanations of passages and books are in Dutch only. The Bible text and the app itself are in your language; translations of the explanations are on their way.
God wandelt in de hof
They heard the voice of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh God among the trees of the garden.
What happens here
How it points ahead
Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.
What happens here
How it points ahead
But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house that I have built!
What happens here
How it points ahead
And then Jesus comes.
Het Woord heeft onder ons gewoond
The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
What happens here
How it comes together
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
What happens here
In de tempel zegt Jezus: breek hem af, en in drie dagen zal Ik hem oprichten.
How it comes together
Gij zijt Gods tempel
Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
What happens here
How it comes together
I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
What happens here
How it comes together
